hey guys, whats up
here I'm again with another stupid (possible stupid :p) question
let me say first: I've played only the first demo and I have no intention in DLing the second so Kameo is worth my yen? from my personnal taste is just OK but for my hard earned cash I need some opnion from gamers cause I've no idea about the full thing
or may is a good idea waiting until the M$ put it in the Platinum hits?
sorry for the english as usual :woop:
peace everyone :drunk
It is not the longest of RPG games (if you want to call it an RPG) but it is quite a fun game.
Oblivion would be a better choice as an RPG. But Kameo isn't bad. If you have rental services in Japan then maybe rent it first to try it out?

Kameo reminded me a great deal of the Zelda franchise. I rented Kameo and wasn't sure if I wanted to buy it until I was about halfway through the game. I've fallen in love with it and plan on buying it today even though I've beaten it. I can't wait to download the MS Marketplace extra's so I can play the game on Expert and get my hands on all those new skins.
For me buying a game has more to do with replay value than anything else. Is Kameo a game you could play through again at a later date and thoroughly enjoy? Definitely. Is it something you can play again and again online and milk for weeks or even months? Probably not. Is it worthy of being in your personal collection? Guess that depends on what kind of criteria games in your personal collection must meet before you deem them worthy of owning.
In my personal opinion Kameo is definitely worth owning and playing through again from time to time. It isn't however a game you can play on a more regular basis, like Call of Duty 3 / Madden 07 / Burnout Revenge / etc..., online. If you are really struggling with this title I agree with Zef that you should probably rent it first.

i would buy this game without question it is so much fun and is a little bit less childish than some other games before i had this game i wouldn't recomment it but now that i ahve it and have played it i would seriously say buy it if you can wait till it's a little cheaper or buy it second hand etc then do so but either way buy it.

If your a fan of The Legend of Zelda games (from the N64, Game Cube, and Wii) then I think you'll really enjoy this title. It was hyped to be "The Zelda Killer" for the longest time. While it did not beat out Zelda as far as video game reviewers were concerned, I liked it just as much as the Zelda series.

I would say yes. By now you can pick it up for cheap and it is an enjoyable game. The particle effects and some of the graphics were really nice imo.

It's definitely one of my favorite XBOX games of alltime. I even used it as my avatar, until I find the time to make a custom one haha. Like people said, it reminds me a lot of the Zelda games. It's been many years since we've had a good adventure-platformer title come out (aside from, of course, the past few Zeldas). The graphics are beautiful, and it really immerses you in that fairytale world. Don't let the demo fool you, that's just one of the "action stages." While I found those fun, and they definitely add a lot to it... the best part of the game is the adventure part that comes in after that.
It also reminds me of all those great Rareware games from Nintendo64. Platformers where you go around and hafta solve puzzles, collect different items, etc. They toned back the collecting items part, so it's not as absurd as DK64 or the later N64 games they made. I've really missed having games like those, and I look forward to more. Glad to know they're working on new Banjo and Conker games, whenever we finally get them. Guaranteed sale right here.

Sorry about bumping this thread after it being dormant for such a long time. What I wanted to ask has however a little to do with the general theme of this thread and I did not want to start a new one just for the heck of it.
What I wanted to know is simply if this game has held its ground reasonably well compared to newer ones. From what I have read this is a sort of action rpg and that seems like a good thing to me. However this was also a release title and perhaps there are better games out there nowadays?
I do realize that this game could be found at bargain prize but it is still interesting to know if it is of good quality and I also heartily dislike getting games which end up on the shelf. :)
Thanks in advance.

I found this game for 9 bucks the other day and had never played it before. It is a great game dont know why i never picked it up, it definetly reminds me of some of the zelda games and i love all those. The story is cool and some of the bosses are awesome. If you havent picked it up already its worth a play through, and at the price you can get it now its a sweet deal.

The only time time I ever enjoyed it was when I was using a walkthrough. Enjoyable though to say the least...but not comparable to the awesomeness of Oblivion.

Indeed you can pick both of them up preowned for 9.99 from GAME or Gamestation and I'd go for Oblivion first and foremost due to the sheer awesomeness.
