I play guitar. A good site for guitarists to get songs is: http://www.theguitarguy.com/home.htm
It is a bit harder for beginners, but once you get better, it becomes easier. Check his site for it, if he doesn't have it, be probably has links to someone else who has it.
The Mario Theme Song took me a few weeks to learn, but I got it.

Here's a link to SMB Theme Tabbed by Sean Gordon: http://www.jessture.com/files/tab_super_mario_unplugged/index.php
Sean Gordon is an amazing guitarist.

What tuning is that? Hopefully you don't think that's standard. I recorded this song on my friends computer back when I was 15. Used to own an Ibanez RG350DX:

I'd sit and transcribe TV theme songs and games as they'd play. My favourite songs to play with my friends were Master of Puppets, One, and Fade to Black by Metallica. And I could play almost all Pantera.
PS- Trem-pick the harmonic points above the fifth frets on the 2nd and 1st strings to make the coin sound. I know most of the other Mario stuff if you want it.

I've been playing guitar for 6 years. I know how to shred :uzi:You can find a lot of different versions of the song. If you have powertab software you can easily find a good version. I haven't been playing at all lately (stupid achievement points!) but when I look for a song I usually go here http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/

:whs Yep, I use Ultimate-Guitar.com as well, also 911tabs.com is good since it has a search engine with different tab sites listed. Those 2 should get you what you need. Good luck with learning man, you should master it, and post your finished song on youtube for us to see!
P.S. Mario, what kind of guitar did you get? Is it acoustic or electric? I'm using an acoustic Ibanez and I'm quite happy with it.

gotta electric...its a cheap one..but not really a beginnner one ( means not a first act  )and i have an acoustic that i used last year for lessons...its a pretty good one...but a little old and gets outta tune :(
i can get the first part off in the song no problem :D...im a happy camper..
but the faster part ( the rest of the song ) is quite tha hard one
and thanks for the support jcrizzle :)
edit: ultimate guitar doesn't have it...and the other one guitarguy doesnt have it either :( but i'll keep looking :) for america ;)

and zeb those are the strings....
That's not standard tuning, man. It looks like it's tuned way too low. 1st through 6th are e B G D A E
"Eddie Ate Dynamite Good Bye Eddie" is a good way to remember it from 6th to 1st. If you want me just to tab it out for you, I will. I can email it to you or something after. I know the "one note per string" version, not the one that has chords+bass line. But at this point it doesn't seem like you need that anyways.
Don't use that one that guy posted above. It might be correct, but it should be played an octave above what's shown there.
