When saves go wrong.

started playing Bionicle Heroes for the xbox 360 today. All in all a simple game, slightly repetative but a all-in-all good lego game.

I get to the stage before the final boss, it the autosave feature says it is having trouble saving! This is 800 gamerscore in, 72% of the game complete. I try save to a new file - no luck. I try overwriting a file. No luck either. I quit out of the game, try and reload the save. 'Sorry, this file is damaged'.

I'm like OMFGWTF. Seriously, I might as well have my day back. Now in order to get those final 200GS, I'm gonna have to go through the game.. again. Pooey.

On the HDD, it says the game is 'Unknown game', with the saves being labelled 'corrupt'.

Harumph.

The same thing happened to me this morning. I have no interest in playing this entire game again just to get the last few hundred points. Hell, I'm not above buying the transfer kit, getting my deserved points and returning the kit for BS like this.....

My hard drive "crashed and I lost all my game saves. I had to go back and do all the things I had done again. I was only about 30% done, so not so bad for me. If I get an error I will probably just return it to gamefly.

i feel sorry for you if the rumble roses satan decides you need to pay up, as for the save the EXACT same thing happened to me in oblivion on my level 34 elf, so dont feel too bad

Well fellas, same thing just happened to me. *sigh*. Got a few things, but it didn't unlock any of the achievements for me! I have a few gamerscore in it, but whatever. I'm only 24% through the game, but ALL of my guys are upgraded. So this is gonna be a pain in the fucking ass. Well, i guess the A button is gonna be taped down all day.

this game was really repetative so i feel for you guys. my game kept sticking on the one level as there was a scratch in my disc. had to rent it to get 100% ;)

That does suck pretty hard. Thankfully i haven't experienced it yet. Though i did get jacked in the ass by Phantasy Star Universe. Fucking Bullshit i say!

I'll just say that I finished everything except the 100% percent, got to 96% and that's when I had my fatal error and "unknown" game. I then decided to go ahead and keep the game running to see what would happen. 5 hours later I had the 100% but the achievement did NOT unlock.

So to save anyone some time - if you get the error start over or move on to something else.

I couldnt bring myself to play through it again, and i get upset ever time I see that 960 GS in my list.

I've heard that sometimes it sticks a bit, but if you play a short level like one of the bonus ones it'll unlock afterwards.

Yes ive experienced this 4 times in a row while trying to get the 5million achievement so ive just given up and returned the game

Ive done the trick a couple times, had no problem. Maybe the xbox overheated being on so long or something? Sorry it happened to you guys. Im at 86 percent. Keeping my fingers crossed.

When I did this, my file corrupted. Luckily, I was able to finish the game before having to turn it off.
