Hey guys. I am starting to get real worried. A lot of threads all over popping up saying that turntables are failing completely after some problems. My turn table has acted up 2 times now in terms of not being able to hit any buttons (completely inoperable) or scratches falling off randomly.
Most of the time its perfect, but I am getting worried.. anyone else?

nope, there's a thing called a warranty, it comes in handy in case of these things.

actually another thing im trying to solve before it gets worse is the fading of the gold sides on the renegade edition. I can see mine starting to get a tad bit fading but I think imma hit it up with some clear nailpolish to seal it before it gets worse. lol

I'm guessing you're talking about the little speed detector things (the little dots on the platter) yeah, those are going to fade away, and if you want to protect them, put a piece of clear tape on them, not nail polish.

It will only realy happen where ever you put your thumb so no point realy covering the whole thing in tape.
but putting tape on it...Wont that make it have less grip for you to spin it with?

Are these turntable issues just for the renegade edition? Are people just banging the hell out of these buttons or something?
At first I thought my turntable buttons were broken, but then I figured they just don't register at certain parts of training.

I ended up putting invisible tape over it, feels actually better where my thumb goes, doesnt look as pretty, isnt bad.. I just dont want the gold coming off :( kinda sucks.

My turntable randomly presses buttons when im either scratching or spinning in general :S Hopefully this is a gameplay error and not the controller. Any1 else having this problem ?

I was thinking of getting the renegade edition but changing my mind a little after reading this..
What gold parts fade away on it? And is the tape noticable and easy to put on?
And when the gold does come off does it still look all good? Or worse than the normal Turn table?

the gold dots where as they would be silver on the normal turntable. I havent looked at a normal table long enough to know how there are but the gold just rubs off if you put your thumb on the sides to scratch. heres a pic someone posted

I took the tape off mine and am learning new ways to scratch without using the sides

Oh damn that looks pretty shitty, For about £50 extra i thought they would of Gone a little out of there way to make the paint stay.
Does the same happen with the normal edition the silver rubs off?

I had the button-problems too. They just stopped working - in the middle of a song sometimes. I tried everything and finally found the solution: Take the 2 parts of the turntable apart and put them together again (you can reconnect on the fly, takes 2 seconds). After that it will probably work again...at least it did in my case.

i had the same problem about an hour ago so i stopped playing! guys on here suggest disconnecting and reconnecting the two parts of the deck, so i'll try that before getting it replaced.

1 - The problem of buttons being pressed during scratching and rewinds seems to be a common complaint. As the above poster said, people suggest to disconnect and reconnect the two parts of the turntable controller.
2 - The paint on both the Renegade and Standard controller comes off. My standard controller's paint on those dots was gone within the first 3 days easily. I don't care that it looks bad, but I was thinking about getting some grip tape to throw on there anyway.
