We here at X360A are pushing to get 1000 people online at the same time to get the cunningly named "Online With 1,000 People" achievement, worth 100 GamerScore.

We are calling this "The Last Chance", for this will be the last time in history that an effort as large as this will be made to get this achievement. Be one of the few to have this achievement on your GamerCard for ages to come.

As of this writing you still have 11 days to get yourself a copy of NBA Live 07!

The event will be held on Sunday, February 25th, 2007 at 8:00 PM GMT.

For those not using GMT Time, it would be:

8:00 PM - GMT
9:00 PM - Central Europe
3:00 PM - Eastern USA
12:00 PM (Noon) - Pacific USA

We are asking everyone to please stay online as long as you can so as many people as possible can get the achievement. EA Sports has informed us that you have to be in the lobby and not playing a game, but you can just be online listening to the ESPN radio service.
If interested in helping, tell your friends, tell your neighbor, tell the people playing Xbox 360 at Best Buy or EB Games... do whatever it takes to spread the word.

But after reading all the news forums, I just wanted to say that I think you actually HAVE to be in a lobby or in a game. Supposably the "site who shouldn't be named" tried this achievement but only those who were in-lobby received the achievement. Those we were listening to ESPN radio did not.

I am still down for this but I need to stalk my local BB as they only have 1 copy and it was out yesterday...they have like 5 copies of NBA 2K7 though. Personally, I like the 2K BB games the best but it is all about the achievements and being part of the 1000 on this one...

One ?: I plan on creating another account for this event using one of my free Gold subs, will both just get credit if I just stay in the lobby? I want to make sure that my main GT gets the credit and could care less about the other one...

OK LISTEN, i signed up at gameznflix.comand had this game as 3 on my list, then movie two didn't show up so i added it again to the 2 slot, then today it shipped movie 1 and two copies of movie 2!!, which means i need to wait until tomarrow until i get them and send it back, but will i get it in time??

I removed everything off my list, but this and i figure 2 days here, 2 days to send back and another 2 days to get it again, but if that is it that means i will get it on MONDAY!!!

I went out and rented it at the Blockbuster near my work during lunch yesterday after I already signed up @ Gamefly and they already shipped it by the time I got back, so now I will have (2) copies...feast or famine, it took me about almost 10 BB to find a store with this game in stock as they all only have (1) copy and they are all either out or defective but I got it now!

Just transfer your XBLA onto a memory unit if you have one, that is the easiest way and then sign in on the other console with your MU plugged in. I need to get one of the these myself as I want to get another console for upstairs someday...

I see you have Crackdown, what a great game! In there should be a 48-hour Gold card, so use that for the nephew and just enter the code to upgrade his Silver (I'm assuming) account...

the first 4 accounts you make on any 360 (as far as i'm aware) get free 1 month gold accounts. after 1 month, the account turns to silver. so if you were to go make a new account, you could sign in as gold, however, the achievement would go to that account (or any of the accounts that are signed in). but, for anyone that only has one account on their 360, would it be possible to make more new accounts so you could have up to 4 people on one box? or does 1 box only count as 1 person no matter how many are signed in?

I rented NBA Live 07 Wednesday just for this, now I can't sign onto live... my test keeps failing at xbox live, everything else works fine... I'm so pissed right now. I don't know how to get it to work.

If you are using a router, try recycling it by turning off the power to it and your modem, wait a few mins and then power up, do the same with your 360 and hopefully they will sinc up...Good Luck!

Yes. As long as you already got your achievement in a lobby and are playing Live games so you count for others...I am sticking in the lobby for a while so I am seen for the credit for now...

NOTE: You MIGHT have to be doing something - i.e. joining a room/refreshing the lobby - to get the achievement. I was sitting in the lobby then went back and refreshed the list and it gave it to me.

I got the achievement around 11:50am (PST) in the same room as DaKing. I am still on as we speak to add support, but the numbers have dropped dramatically.

When I was on, it was barely hitting 1000 players. Now it dipped down to about, more or less 800 players.

I highly doubt we can do an event for NBA Live again... get your friends on, sign on as many accounts as possible, we still have 900 on now... a little effort will get the job done.

^^^I'm sorry to hear that. I noticed that listening to the ESPN Radio didn't unlock the achievement, so I went into the Lobby and then it unlocked.

I'm still on to add support and so are a few of my other friends. Hopefully it'll reach 1000 again.

Well in my opinion this whole thing was a total bust. For all of you that got the achievement, congrats. But from what i've heard, the totals only went over 1000 for a very short time then dropped back below. I thought this event was supposed to last an hour, but i guess not. I was on at 12:30 PST and have been on since and never saw the numbers go above 1000. The only thing i can assume is alot of people got the achievement and then logged off. I know this wasnt everyone, and to all of you who stayed on after you got it, thank you so much for the effort!

For those who were lucky enough to be in a lobby during the short few minutes when 1000 were online, again, congrats. But i know there were many many people who werent in a lobby in those short few minutes and couldnt get the achievement, and now i fear we never will as i dont suspect any sites will organize an event like this again.

Personally, i think this really sucks, and I know i'm not alone in being more than a little dissapointed. But oh well, whats done is done i suppose.

I'd like to thank everyone that pitched in yesterday. I jumped on early and got the achievement instantly. Sadly I then watched the #'s start to drop as so many dropped off as soon as they got their 100 points. There were many unhappy gamers who came in late. I know the "you snooze you lose" phrase comes to mind, but at least the guys and gals from this site hung around. Props to you all.
