New Beginnings not unlocking

I just played an online game with the 94 controls and it didn't unlock. Anyone else have this problem or know why?

When did you change the controls? At the main menu or in game? First time I did it was in game and I didn't change it until it was past the loading screens and my players were already on the ice - and it didn't count.

Next time I did it as soon as I could pause the game before it started and it unlocked at the end of the game.

i've done this twice, didn't unlock.

1st time i paused game when the intro video of them coming on ice, didn't work
2nd time i changed settings before i even advanced to the game. still nothing

You have to finish the game, but it does not matter if you win or lose.

Actually the guy I was playing with paused it at the opening intro and I changed it then. I guess I'll try it again setting it up before I start a game. It just sucks though because its so frustrating playing with the 94 controls.

so now i tried playing a ranked online vs match, had 94 controls before even starting the game. played entire thing, still no achievement.

It seems that there are lots of glitched achievements in this game. I've gotten all A's in a game and in the prospects game twice, and I still don't have the Grade A achievement. If someone could shed some light on that, that would be awesome.

For the new beginnings achievement, I played two periods with my BAP player, and during the second intermission, I switched to the '94 controls and got the achievement first try. Which is good because I think the '94 controls suck. Hope this helps.

the way i did the A acheivements i created a new be a pro character and set it to easy! it seems a lot are glitched in this game.

For me it didn't unlock when I changed the setting during game setup. I had to change the setting in the main menu.

I played my friend and changed it at the 2nd intermission, it unlocked for me at the end of the game.
