Shizzle Games received their retail copy of Crackdown in the mail today, for reviewing purposes, and snapped some pictures of the included Halo 3 Beta Tester Invite.

Here's the exciting stuff:

When the Halo 3 beta is released, the Download Halo 3 Beta option will be activated automatically and you can choose it to connect to Xbox Live Marketplace to download the beta, free of charge, and with no codes required."

i wonder if you can just pass the game around when the game is available to download so other people can get it.

EDIT: Just noticed that you have to have the crackdown disk in the game console to play it.

So, I'm guessing this means that the files on the disc are different then. Only disc that have the invite will have those Halo 3 pieces on them I'm guessing.

I sure they make enough Halo 3 Beta's, if they are sold out, i would super angry or super sad, depends on the emotion i'm in when they release Crackdown:(

It's not the download though. If you looked at my post a few ago, I said the discs might be slightly different. The Halo 3 Beta versions of Crackdown have the ability to handle it, while after some point in time the normals versions without that ability are sold. I could be very wrong, but it would explain why they say there is still a chance you don't to get play it.

as of right now, the halo 3 beta is not available. if you have an early copy of crackdown, you won't be able to play until the probably three days prior to the release date. and no code is required. all you need is crackdown, and it plays off the disk.
