Personally i think its worth it. Yes it is repeting and very frustrating. But my girlfriend, myself and even some pals of mine has enjoyed it. Making it well worth the price. Is a couple of hours fun worth 10$? You decide.
It gets old though, so now im playing it just for the acievements.

I think it was worth it. Don't really play it anymore (thanks to other games and having beaten this one) but I had a lot of fun with it while it lasted.

I bought it for half price. Its an ok game. Its mediocre as tower defense games go I think.
If you are looking for a good game of this genre, I would definitely recommend Defense Grid over this one any day. If you already have that, and you love tower defense games like me, then it might be fun for you.

not worth it for one reason: Tose
Tose developed it and Tose is Japanese for Acclaim. Their work is very lazy and inferior and you can see that in abundance with Crystal Defenders. Its very slapdash. Feels, looks, and plays like a flash game you'd find on newgrounds actually.
I bought it when it was on sale during E3 (half off) and its definately not worth it if it costs 800 msp. If you like tower defense games, I'd recommend the game Crystal Defenders is probably ripping off: Defense Grid.

its a basic tower defense game as made in other custom games

It is a fun game. I really hoped the characters leveled up when killing enemies like in a "normal" rpg
