first part of the mega restaurant level on hard-boiled, please help

I've searched and cannot find any walkthroughs or guides for the first checkpoint/part of the mega restaurant level, the restaurant part. the part before the band and where the cut scene that has the speedboat burst through the door is. the difficulty being on hard-boiled of course.

I have tried hiding at the entrance where you start (with the two staircases), hiding at the opposite end (with the one staircase), hiding by the elevators at the top of the stairs, the small room at the top of the stairs with the table and hiding on the bottom floor, with both guitar cases close by, and yet i die every time.

can someone please give me some helpful tips and places where i can hide for this checkpoint, a video would be good. just to point out, both achievement guides do not mention this first bit. thanks to those who help

Man I hate to break this to you, but I had the EXACT same problem over a year ago. Couldn't get past this part no matter how hard I tried. No guides, no help. Nothing. So I traded the game in. I specifically remember this part cause I couldn't get past it. Good luck though

Doubt your still on this mission, but, I just finished this one, and am now stuck on the casino.

What I did was place guitar cases on each side of the top level, and run in circles, killing guys as they came, and occasionally running down the stairs and picking a guy or two off. I saved up a spin attack for when the boats came through and finished most of trench coat guys off with that.

I hid in the elevator where you start the area, placed the 2 guitar cases just outside and massacred everyone who appeared before they got close. Did it in a few tries.

The guitar cases respawn allowing you to restock on health and ammo.

Technique works for the next section too.

I did the same as this, worked flawlessly. Only wish I could have at least one guitar case for the next section. That part blows.
