Any character not listed below is available from the start of the game.


Green Goblin: Available after Wakanda (Act 3) in story mode.
Hulk: Find five Gamma Canisters in story mode.
Iron Fist: Choose Anti-Registration path in story mode to unlock in Act 2, or get him automatically in Act 3.
Jean Grey: Find five M'Krann Crystals in story mode.
Juggernaut: Pre-Order bonus from Gamestop ONLY.
Ms. Marvel: Available about halfway through Act 1.
Nick Fury: Beat the game.
Penance: Complete the first prison break-in level (Act 3).
Songbird: Choose Pro-Registration to unlock in Act 2, or get her automatically in Act 3.
Thing: Available at the beginning of Act 2.
Thor: Find five Asgardian Runes in story mode.
Venom: Available after Wakanda (Act 3) in story mode.

Ms. Marvel is not avaliable until you face the shocker and free her.

I had Thing as soon as I could select a character (Bravo Team)...

Also you get Thing for a little while, but then lose him for the beginning of Act2 (Anti-Reg) but then he becomes available again.

where are the collectibles for hulk, jean grey, and thor?

Juggernaut is also available at Amazon.co.uk. And this character will be the first DLC for M:UA2 later, so everyone may control him.
Gamma Canisters = Gamma Regulators

Does anybody know what happens, when I collect 10 Asgardian Runes/Gamma Regulators/M'Kraan Crystals? I already have Thor, Jean Gray and Hulk unlocked, but the game still counts towards 10.

I don't believe you get anything for them. I think there are 10 just so that you can miss a couple and still unlock the characters.

I also have 5 already,but it is not unlock....
now is 9
