use auto-kick for the drum ones, use the always slide cheat for Beastie Boys, Stevie Wonder, and King Crimson guitar ones, use the HOPO cheat for Peter Frampton and My Morning Jacket guitar ones, and the spacehog and elliot smith bass ones.

then for the open note bass achievements, turn on expert, no fail, and go nuts on the open notes. overstrumming is fine. you pretty much have to hit everyone, so just concentrate on those.
