Last lantern bridge in Dark Castle

I have played through the level and I see another area off to the side, when I get on top of the covered bridge and try to cross the other lantern bridge to the other area, I cant get ahold of the ledge, I just flip and fall off. Is there anything over there? can you even get there? I swear it looked like I saw some stuff over there, but I cant be for sure until I can grab the ledge and shimmy around the spikes.

anyone get past that or am I wasting my time?

i tried this a few times as i was missing an animal and was convinced it must be over there. you can't get up there, and all animals and statues are found before the walk over to the bridge. :)

Thanks for responding. I found the animal actually, and I had all f the statues, but I am still missing money and components, but they dont matter nearly as much.
