Does Rock Band drums + symbols add orange?

I have had 3 guitar hero drums brake on me so far and I'm sick of it. My current set just broke (hitting blue or yellow also hits red, blue more so then yellow). If I buy the symbols for Rock Band drums will that add the orange rock band drums take out?

I have one, they don't work, tried it each time on all 3 drum sets. For my current one I can set red to 0 and it'll still do it. Its such a crappy thing, the test is pointless. It never does it in the test because its not actually being hit just told it is.
