So earlier this week I saw an ad advertising a screening of the new Reno 911! movie. I followed it and ended up at their Myspace. I read on and found out that there was going to be a public screening at three locations Boston, Pheonix, and Seattle. I figured, hey, I'm in Seattle!

So I added them and today they posted a bulletin with the following:

If I end up going, I will for sure.

Hopefully I'll be able to find Season 1 for cheap today/tomorrow. Try and get it signed or something.

Good news. I got in! I'll elaborate on the story.

As anyone who's reading this knows (of if you haven't read the thread, read the first post) I found out about a public free pre-release screening of Reno 911!: Miami hosted by Myspace.com. The deal was you had to add Reno 911!'s page, and Black Curtain Screenings to your page and print a printscreen of your Myspace page with those two in your top eight. As long as you had that, you were going to see it for free.

So I got a bulletin and found out it was Tuesday in Seattle and the doors opened at 7. I figure leave a couple hours before and you'll be fine. First we go to a local gas station, and we were lucky enough to get the guy who must've just been hired. We were there for literally 20 minutes waiting for him to correctly use the computer so we could pump gas. Don't get me wrong, he was a super nice guy, it just sucked because we were in a hurry. Then we got on the highway (I'm about 45 minutes away from Seattle), and almost immediately ran into deep stop congestion. Turns out it's the same day there's intense traffic work.

Finally we make it to Seattle at about 6:10 (as every minute passed my hopes lowered). We get to Pacific Place Mall and ride up numerous stories of escalators then find ourselves at the back of a long line of fellow Myspacers.

Line before we got in
(Why does YouTube cut off the beginning/ending? Ugh)

I shuddered at the thought of driving, and standing for nothing. But to my dismay, three beautiful girls decked out in Myspace gear come to me and ask for my page. I give it up and receive a snazzy aqua blue Myspace bracelet. I asked her if these were given to everyone, or if this was our ticket in. Turns out if you got a bracelet, you were going in. Hallelujah!

After another 40 minutes, we finally weave our way around the mall and make it into the theater. All the good seats were taken, but we found two together in about the middle-left area. We then sat for another 30-40 minutes, in which time we found out where every idiot in the theatre was from their obnoxious screaming.

Finally the lights dimmed, and we heard a beautiful voice. I don't remember the exact words, but they were something along the lines of "Welcome your favorite Reno 911 deputies, Clementine Johnson and Raineesha Williams." I myself went wild, no Jim Dangle, but beggers can't be choosers.

They both walked to the front of the audience (in new uniforms that we later found out were the Miami uniforms) and gave their input about how much the movie sucked. About how Fox initially proposed a "Heroes" movie, but took out all the "Hero" clips and just used the more comical ones. They then told us to stay after the movie for some Q&A and walked off.

Bam, movie time. It opened with a great "turn off your cellphones" bit with Williams, Jones, and Dangle that immediately got everyone in a laughing spirit. I won't go into the movie or the plot because I think everyone who likes the show should see the movie. But there are some parts that are just hilarious, and they brought back my personal favorite character Terry (gay Nick Swardson on roller skates) woo!

Once the movie ended Williams and Johnson came back and answered about 20-30 minutes of Q&A. This portion pissed me off. Only about 2-3 questions were actually good. The rest were idiot breast/pubic hair questions, or some retard asking Williams "how much cornbread did it take to get your ass that big".

Once they were forced to end the Q&A, they went out into the lobby for some autographs. Luckily we had a good spot in line so we only had to wait 5-10 minutes tops.

I got a Reno 911!:Miami badge, then had Williams and Johnson sign my Season 1 DVD set (sleeve on left, insert with DVDs on right)

And a sweet Reno 911! Miami poster signed by both of the beautiful women:

Overall, I'd honestly rate the movie an 8.5-9/10 (no movie has yet gotten a 10 in my book). I HIGHLY recommend seeing it in theaters on February 23rd.

Dammit, someone ask some questions or SOMETHING about the experience!

Here's the official trailer so this wasn't just a rant post.
