Stuck on Venatosaurus

Okay, on the level Venatosaurus, I get up to where your supposed to fight off numberous little t-rex dinosaurs at the main gate. However, apprently after that, walkthroughs say larger ones are supposed to show up afterwards...

And they havent. Basically I'm stuck at the gate waiting for them to show up, and if I try to leave the area at a certain distance, they immediately start calling me for help, even though there isn't a damn thing attacking them.

I havent activated cheats or anything, and I've resetted the game several times. I'd really hate to play the game over to that point just because when I tried to exit out I accidently saved the game at that retarded checkpoint.

Has this happened to others? Because it's certainly pissing me off.

Try starting the level before and playing through it and continuing from there.

I tried that, but all it does is go back to main menu once I finish the previous level ("The Caves") and if I then reselect the next level, it just goes to where I saved.

This happened to me as well... along with practically every other level at one point or another. Just quiting and loading last checkpoint always worked for me though
