If actually playing this on the 360, it is possibly the worth game ever. It and it's most recent expansion is only 17 dollars or so. Do not buy this. The first month is free, but after that it's like 15 dollars a month.

As for leveling, you hit the wall at level 12. One or two months of inactivity gets your account deleted.

Not to mention trying to play this game with a controller is total hell. 3 minutes to say "hello" is never a good thing.

The achievements consist of doing top end quests and maxing out class levels (hundreds and hundreds of hours) for a single achievement. Anyone who has ever played a mmorpg can vouch for that.

Now, what I want to know, is why would they make this game for the 360? It's multi platform, which is cool, but it seems so useless and the price for the game is there to only verify that. They should have kept it only for the computer.

I'm not saying it's a horrible MMORPG, I'm just saying it's horrible for the 360.

Please try to list a worse game for the !XBOX 360!.

I'm just waiting for like 20 people to come along and post

"THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE FFXI FORUMS."

It's discussing a game, and also asking if there are any worse games out there. I don't see how this should be there?

Besides, why would I go to a place where people enjoy the game to discuss with them how bad it is? that seems like an ass move.

There are several other threads in this same section right now that are discussing other games as well.

Well, not everyody loves the game they're playing.... most people just play it for the achievements. But i'd agree with the fact that it's final fantasy, if you use that forum you're dedicated to the game.
There are a lot of games on the 360 that are worse than final fantasy 11, it's just not you're thing. I mean would you rather be playing jumper for fun or my horse and me 2?

He didn't say he didn't like that type of game, I think he is trying to say this type of game doesn't work well on an xbox360 as it is really a game made for PC.

Oh, well in that case i feel like rpgs are a genre that was never supposed to be for a console, and when i say RPG i mean like an MMORPG.... just to much to do with one controller.

Yeah I can't stand MMORPG'errs. But I do know and understand that for them it's best to use a keyboard and mouse.

Basically. They have done it with other things too such as RTS games that were better on PC and 10 times harder on console.

Yeah I can't stand MMORPG'errs. But I do know and understand that for them it's best to use a keyboard and mouse.

That was what I meant, and thank you. Yeah, I played that game for a week with a controller. It took around 5 minutes to send a solid line of text, so asking questions and communicating with others was almost impossible.

The combat really stunk as well due to using a controller. Almost every function was 4 times more complicated.

Heh. the last sentence was very funny. But as for there being worse games, sure. But very few. I mean taking out the controller, and taking into account that it is an xbox game with achievements and such, I would say the only worse game I have played has probably been bullet witch my third playthrough. But even then, it's iffy.

Lol... you have to party after level 12.

And wrong about the deletion, you just have to re-activate your account by putting a credit card on it again.

I know because ive been playing ffxi for 6 years

Boo! Making a party is for Everquest. Besides, by the time I asked, the player was long gone. And I was standing there talking to trees.

I was told the account was killed off after three months to make room. Like, the character was deleted. Like in diablo 2. It tells you when you start or something I thought.

Well, being wrong about that is good. I mean, at least those who like it can pick up after leaving and coming back I guess.

And if I am not wrong about the CHARACTER, then, well, nothing has changed. Not many care about an account with no characters heh.

after about level 10-12 you have to party unless your maybe 1 of the 3 solo jobs

thats why they invented the usb keyboard and the chatpad

if your playing this game for the achievements then i'm sorry to say your never going to get 1000gs even if you play till the servers shut down....people who've played since launch wouldn't even have 1000 yet

well i can give you one good reason why in the form of my experience....i used to play on pc till my pc got crapped out and i couldn't afford to make or buy a new one so i bought a copy of the game for 360 and continued to play...so basically if your unable to play on pc for any reason then this is a helpful solution to 360 owners

.

o and for your info it was realeased on ps2 before pc so its always been a console game before a pc one

In terms of the achievements it was made for the Japanese, who are famous for liking two things - games that require thousands of hours to finish and bukkakke.

I was reading OXM a couple of months ago and they said that only one person in the world is known to have a legit 1000+ GS in FFXI. The player in question had to spend at least a thousand hours doing that and probably played little else during that time.

You can use a mouse and keyboard on the 360 for final fantasy XI
