Delete FFXI

Didn't see another thread in my search, probably crap if there is a thread with this in.


Anyway, is there a way to delete FFXI and the playonline viewer from the harddrive? I think it is still on there seeing as I have 4-5Gb left and it doesn't seem like I have 10Gb of music on my harddrive.

I have read that people have done it but they didn't say how. Any ideas?

I've never tried, but can't you just go into your hard drive and choose all the FFXI related areas and delete the data?

I'm pretty sure i deleted playonline viewer from my hardrive. But it might be different cuz I never play the actual game

I deleted the playonline viewer from back when the beta came out and for some reason i think you had to uninstall it like on a computer hard drive. You might want to google this one if you don't get any answers from here.

Sorry i can't be of more help the beta came out ages ago and at my advanced age i can't remember that far back. :)

You might be onto something there, I should still have the beta disc around so I'll fire it up again and try and uninstall if there is an option.

I never played the full game so I don't have a FFXI section in my harddrive, and there wasn't a playonline viewer one that I remember.

If I figure it out then I'll post a solution here.

you'll have to use either the beta or full version of the game to uninstall the playonline viewer and game. on the plus side it'll take a bit but not as long as the install.

Using the beta disc worked a treat, 5 Gb extra space for me =D It only took 30 seconds to uninstall too.

Thanks so much for the solution as I have recently quit the game and wanted to clear it off of my hd but couldn't figure out how to do it.

thats wierd coz my playonline viewer actually has an uninstall option when you first sign in
