So then... They look cool :)

Not liking the look of collect 300 and 500 orbs though =/

But other than that. Should be fun :D

The juggler ones look good, definately a first (if not a second)

Hell, they all look decent. My expectations of the game have gone up, could this be the first game with good achievements? =O

Yeah, these achievements look really good but not sure I like the fact of only 900 points though. Perhaps we will get the GRAW treatment with some achievements down the road.

800 orbs though! Damn! lol

Anyone heard of the size of the world it's set in yet?

This was the first game that introduced what we all have fallen in love with, the "Achievement". Game Informer featured Crackdown front and center in the October 2005 issue and talked about how this game plays and how it handles the new Achievement system. This is where I initially got the fever, with the only prescription being more achievements...

So yeah, just a little let down that the first Game preview to feature an in-depth look at Achievements, only has 900 points out of the 1000 we were getting used to.

Anyhow, I am sooo stoked for this game!

Maybe they have an actual secret achievement?

Yeah, I think they do. I wrote this earlier, check it out:

Did anyone read the October 05' issue of Game Informer? That was the first real glimpse of what this game could offer.

I swear somewhere in that article they had talked about secret achievements. Not the kind we know now, where they don't identify what they are. I thought they were talking about some sort of competitive leaderboard achievements. Say we look at the leaderboards and DaWebbmeister has fallen off of a building to his death from 49 stories high, and is in 1st place in that catagory. So I get on and scale a taller building say 55 stories and fall to my death. BAM, achievement unlocked. Unless I was drunk when I read that article I thought they said they were going to block off some achievements for competitive purposes that you could use the leaderboard system as a starting point.

Anyone read that, anyone think I'm full of...uh...stuff?

I really think they have some new system of "secret Achievements"...

They do look like fun achievements, just time consuming. Hopefully we'll get a guide written up for some help. :p

I don't think it would be for things as simple as that unless there were more than you would expect. If they are for leaderboards then they should have really obscure things that tie into the other achievements, like juggling more than one car at once for x seconds. Or get a no-scope kill from x distance. There should be one for the maximum distance jumped between buildings too.
