OK, don't know if this is breaking any rules, and if it does I apologize. But can anyone help me setting up a MAME emulator. from what I've read they are completely legal, so that's why I'm asking for help here. I cant seem to get on to run, and play a ROM
. Everything I try is open source and a pain in the ass, I can't seem to get it to work, kinda like when I was using linux and couldn't figure out how to compile the files to work.

Any help, I just want a simply GUI to run some old school, LEGAL, roms.

Again, don't know if this is against the rules but it being legal, and not stolen files I think that it is OK.(I'm NOT asking for ROMS or ROM sites)

Any help, I need a simple solution just to run some old out dated(but great) games.

Google MAME UI (used to be MAME32). That should get you started.

oh damn, word, thanks man. I only use the General section and the specific game section, didn't even think of that.

and I tried the MAME UI but it would never connect with the MAME file I had, oh well on to the tech section
