I know it's a long ways away, but who do you want your team to pick and who do you think the first overall pick will be?

Personally, I want the raiders to pick JaMarcus Russell or Brady Quinn (if he isn't first pick overall) personally or some other QB. With Moss, Porter, and Curry rotting away doing nothing it will be hard to keep great WRs with no QB. Many are calling that the raiders will pick up WR Calvin Johnson, but let's hope not.

For first pick overall, I think it may be Brady Quinn (assuming the lions or raiders are going to go first). Troy Smith is an alright QB, he choked huge against Florida so I don't expect him to be picked high.

Well i would love to see the Bears pick up either Lamarr Woodley or Leon Hall from Michigan. We need another shut down type corner and Woodley would fit nicely either on the line or as a linebacker.

As for the first pick i would have to think Brady Quinn simply because the Raiders are desperate for a QB with some skill and they sure don't have that now. He seems to be the most polished of the QBs this year. I just hope the Raiders don't do something stupid like pick Johnson with the first pick. Then again what do i care i'm not a Raiders fan.

Good god I hope the lions stay away from another reciever. I think Russell or quinn will be the lions pick at pick #2. I can see them try and trade down also but doubt that will happen.

I'm a 49ers fan and i think we should trade up and get Calvin johnson. We need a dominate WR like him. 6'5 4.24 40 damn. If not we need to address our corners and lines (defensive and offense). Bryant young ant get any younger, either is Larry Allen.

If the Raiders were smart, they would trade down with Cleveland and get Cleveland's #3 pick and maybe a second or third round pick. Quinn wants to go to the Browns and the Browns want him. Detroit would be stupid to take Johnson or Russell @ #2 and probably would take Joe Thomas from Wisconsin. That would allow the Raiders to get Russell @ #3 and then still have an extra pick later in the draft.

I'm a 49ers fan also, but I can't see them trading up unless they are willing to give up atleast a pick or two they got from the Redskins in the Brandon Lloyd trade. I would love to see them get Calvin Johnson though. :woop:

I also think Quinn will go first. Troy Smith will be the Leinart of next year's draft--highly rated all career, but then lost the big game so his stock drops.

I don't know if the Raiders should trade up. They have it the worst at QB and with such talented WRs they might leave if someone good doesn't come along. The Raiders defense was third and we had no offense at all. Lamont Jordan is still really good so all i'm worried about is QB. He makes or breaks the team. Quinn or Russell would suffice.

Detroit Lions are my team....Im hoping we get Adrian Peterson. And I think the Raiders will trade down. Everybody want the #1 spot

Actually I thought about it and I think they should trade down and get Russell because i'm sure Russell won't be picked by many. Quinn caught everyones eyes and russell just exploded this year. So in a way I think it would be extremely smart to trade down to like maybe the 9th-10th pick and pick up Russell around there and have an extra 2 picks in the 2nd round and maybe pick up some fresh offensive linemen.

I don't know what I would want the Titans to take right now. They are not great in any area, but not the worst possible in any area. They gave up the most yards on defense last year, but I don't know how much help they actually need on that side of the ball. The offense is the same way. They have been able to put points on the board, it's just that they need to be more consistant.

I think I already got what I want for the most part. The biggest thing they need is experience. They are a young team with a lot of time.

But yeah, the Raiders to get a quarterback right now. Too bad I don't think that's going to be enough to turn them around in that tough AFC West.

A young quarterback won't change things for the raiders now, but it may in the future. I mean they were third in the league in defense. There offense was just horrendous. Lamont jordan and Fargus (I know I spelt that wrong) didn't run that many yards combined. Moss and Curry didn't do that great and Porter was injured. Great offense weapons, no leader.

If we just had a really good young QB, maybe 2-3 years down the road we would be a really great team again.

As for your titans, I think I forsee a WR pick up. I mean you have Vince Young now and a great HB. The defense is pretty stable and solid, all Vince needs now are playmakers to spread the field for him.

As a Steelers fan, I hope they can get either a good starting CB or a good starting T, both positions were seriously lacking this year.

I can't see taking a WR in the top 5 although teams do it all the time. If you are picking between 1-5 you have more pressing needs.

Troy Smith is GREAT.. Whether or not he will be a good NFL QB is a big question tho.

He played like shit in the Championship, but it wasnt all his fault. Everyone played like shit, he wasnt getting much protection, and they got dominated in every fashion.. Sure a lot of that lays on Smith's shoulders, but he wasn't the only reason for the loss..

Tell that to the Lions who used their last 3 first round picks on WR (Charles Rogers #2 in 2003, Roy Williams #7 in 2004 & Mike Williams #10 in 2005). OK, so only one of those was in the top 5 picks, but with Detroit at #2 this year don't put it past them to take Calvin Johnson at #2.

I think that would be dumb. I mean they need to let their players develop instead of getting a new one every year. Mike Williams is still young and Roy Williams developed really well. I think they should focus on getting a QB instead. If the Raiders are dumb enough to pass up Quinn, then i'm assuming the Lions will grab him.

I'm hoping the Chiefs decide to pick up a WR in the 1st round, and end up starting Damon Huard next season. We need a good threat on the outside so that can open things up for Tony Gonzalez in the passing game. Kennison is good, but he isn't THAT good.

Based off of what the coaches have said this past season and the performance of Quinn in the bowl game, I highly doubt they would take him if available. It seems to me, with Marinelli as the HC, he will want to continue to sure up the defense. However, drafting at 2 may present problems since there doesn't appear to be a can't miss defensive prospect. Therefore, I believe they will try as best they can to trade down...And for those of you who laugh at the prospect of taking Calvin Johnson, the fact of the matter is that WR is a need position for them. Charles Rogers is gone and it appears that Mike Williams will be shortly as well. However, as with much of this draft speculation, a lot will be determined by what each team does in free agency. Therefore, I will wait until I see who they and every other team get in FA before guessing what they will do.
