cant find this bird in chapter 5

In the bird walkthrough it says
5. BIRD - After #3 come up stairs head towards grating in front of you
and then turn left. One of the three display shelves has the decaying
bird. (last display case)

Been up the stairs, cant see any grate and smashed all the cases. Can anyone point me in the right direction :(

you must be using the same walkthrough i did. i remember that exact spot... i ended up finding it, but it was nowhere near the things i thought were near the "cases". i can not remember the exact location though--just do most of the level and then go back if you are short a bird and check that room.
