hey there i just got a zune, apparently very few people have heard of it. I do have a question: how long does it take to load up the market place? I just put in the 14 day trial, but whenever i go to the market place it says 'Retrieving items from Zune Marketplace'. anyone else having this problem?

I have one and finally got some time this weekend to load up the software and try it out. I didn't have any problems connecting to the service or downloading it worked just as well as i-tunes does. I also must say i like it alot more than my ipod.

The only thing i don't like about thier service is the subscription options suck. $14.99 a month and you can download all you want but you can't burn the tracks and if you ever cancel your monthly subscripition you can no longer play the tracks you downloaded. You must pay 79 microsoft points a song for them in order to be able to play them forever and to burn them . I understand not being able to burn them for the $14.99 a month but you should still be able to play them on your Zune and computer even if you cancel the monthly service. Oh well in the end the way i see it is you don't pay for the monthly service and just download the songs for .99 like you do from i-tunes.

I don't have any trouble when I load the Marketplace. Thing is though, I don't buy my music from there, well, I don't buy my music at all. :p Shh, don't tell anyone !

I lov emy zune, never had that problem, but I'm gonna trick my mom into getting me MS points for the Zune but use it on my 360!!!!!

hey thanks for the help everyone. the problem was that i installed the zune software from the CD which was an old version. I had to download the software from the website so everything works now. go zune!

im just about to get a zune, does anyone know if you can download videos from the xbox live marketplace, then transfer it from your xbox 360 to your zune

No, there's currently no way to do that, but I'm sure there's someone somewhere with a HDD transfer kit that's decoded those videos and converted them to .wmv...

I was considering getting one as an actual MP3 player rather than my PSP which is used for certain videos and internet sabotage.

Then I saw that Microsoft aren't releasing them here for up to a year, so screw that. Still, no i-Pod is getting anywhere near my pants.
