if you do not want crackdown... make sure you try the other 2 methods first to save your money! ;)

hopefully you all put your info into the halo3.com registration. otherwise, play the 3 hours of halo2 and hope for the best. i'm going to wait and THEN if i still do not have a spot, i will buy that damn game!

but if you would rather spend $60 instead of 3 hours more of your life on halo--then be my guest.... ;)

I don't see why people people are bashing this game; it's a futuristic GTA on steroids. :p I was going to preorder Crackdown either way, but hearing that its coming out with a H3 beta, I ran to EB Games ASAP. ;)

I pre-ordered it as well for the Halo 3 beta even though i am looking forward to playing Crackdown. Now we all just have to wait and see if we actually get the ones with the beta in it. They are limited so not everyone is guaranteed to get one with the beta in it.

Yeah i saw all that which was the reason i ordered it online but then i talked to the manager of the eb i go to in town and he said it's not guaranteed so i don't know who to believe.

I really want in on the h3 beta, but I've never been much of a GTA fan (well, not since it went 3d anyway). Does anybody know if / when we'll find out if we've been included in the beta via the other 2 ways (playing h2 or the halo3.com site)?

RiddlingCat...I love you! This game looks fantastic, and cannot be called a GTA clone since developed by the creator of the original GTA games. I am super ninja pumped for this game, it's just a bonus we get a H3 beta invite.

For haters, try the demo when it launches January 18.

Just read an article on Gamepro.com that said all copies of Crackdown will come with the Halo 3 beta not just specially marked copies. Here is the link http://gamepro.com/news.cfm?article_id=94329.

EVERY Version has the beta. If you buy it Feb 20th, you're in. If you buy it April 16th you're in. If you buy it M...you get the picture.

If you want in on the beta (and didn't earn an invite by other means), purchase a copy of Crackdown on February 20 and you'll be set. Clearly, you won't be able to purchase a copy of Crackdown months down the road and expect to find a beta invite inside. I understand that someone that gets a 360 and Crackdown for Christmas 07' won't get one, but every version of Crackdown has it until the beta begins. Once the beta is dead and gone, of course they won't be featuring beta invites.

I'm just clarifying that you don't have to be the first 50,000 lucky people or have it on reserve to get the beta. Everyone that gets Crackdown before the beta gets in. Thats what I meant in my initial statement, I just got carried away with the months you could buy it in. (We're all thinking the beta is in the spring, right?).

Anyways, I'm not that excited for the Halo beta. I want Crackdown, that's why I reserved it. Actually, I'm more interested in some other games coming out this year. *If this is blasphemy, you can delete my post, haha ;)

I loved halo 2 dont get me wrong. I played it for 3 straight years with my and my crew. But twords last xmas it was getting old. Bungie countiueslly fucking us over left and right got old realy fast. Bungie fucking the playlists. Not doing shit about cheaters and then the worst part was when they anouced that the new maps would only be on the 360. Bungie makes good games just they are the stupidest fucks when it comes to managing the games..

So becuase of this i couldnt stomache 3 more hours of halo.
