Battle at Steamboat (Fighting Reed)

Im at that part in the game. I got 4 shotgun shots left, and 30 rifle shots. I have a full quick draw meter. When I attack Reed, nothing seems to work, and when I get him good enough, he runs away and re-heals himself. Can somebody please help me? A tip at least? thanks

dont let him get to far away, keep following him and shooting and he wont be able to heal himself, pick up the wisky bottles that are around the ship when your running by them

its so hard i really think this is my 50 time trying!!! i can only find 2 whisky bottles, theres like 3 horses that i mount so i dont get as much damage taken away, i wish there were more shotgun amo around, because that makes the most damage, yet i only have 4! grr its fusturating...he kills my horse in ike 4 shots...and im only playing on normal, i cant imagine insane! thanks for the tips, but do you have anymore? how long did i take you guys?

i was playing on easy, didnt even use the shotgun, used all the rifle ammo, then went to pistols, thers wiskey in the rocks all around the ship, should be more then 2 bottles, might have to go do some sidemissions to increase your stats

alright, all do the side mission, when i end this mission, how do i go back to doing the side missions, amd how do i go to other towns? i just got him to red but he killled me again...thanks again...also, if i go do side missions, ill probably have to do everything leading up 2 him again, huh? like killing all the riders? o well if i can get my stats up it should be easier, so how do i get to other cities?

ride your horse would be the fastest way, just look at the world map thread and look at the map, it will show the names of the cities, stuff inbetween etc... fastest would be to ride horse along rail road tracks
