Supreme Hunter is pissing me off!

Ok im on my first playthrough on normal and im on the first boss battle with the Supreme Hunter. What the hell should I do!? Every single time I try to attack him with the blade but he still always beats me to death! Any tips?

the air critical pain devastator worked well for me. use muscle mass to take out helicopters by locking on, jumping, and holding X for some quick health to put you in critical mass. then put some distance between you and the hunter, lock on, and charge your jump. when he starts his jump, you jump straight up, and hold X+B. if you haven't tried it yet, the mid-air version seems to do more damage than the ground one and doesn't leave you vulnerable to attack afterward so you can just glide away real quick, take out another copter, and quickly hit him again. for me, it took four of these devastators to finish him off.

if you're really lucky it'll even say after a devastator, "supreme hunter is stunned, grab him!" and then you jump on his back and pummel him for a decent amount of damage. if you've upgraded muscle mass, use that when you're on his back. otherwise use the blade.

also, i don't recommend using armor since it kills your maneuverability. just use the shield cuz if he uses his tendril barrage devastator, you'll be able to glide away no problem.

i personally just jumped about in the air spamming the y button with whipfist active. keep your distance and that should work well.

run around, consume, devastator, rinse and repeat. Thats how I did it. I also would try to get the military to hit the Hydras

I read the guide at work. I work for Gamestop. and it said use the Whipfist, and I did, and it stunned him pretty quick, than when the tanks came rolling through I hijacked one and spammed the heck out of tank rocks at him, till he would get stunned than attack him, get back in tank and repeat, till he died took me like 5 mins for the Supreme Hunter
