How do you get new missions?

I have been playing for a while now and don't understand what to do. I have done the 3 green icons on my map that where like timetrials and I have done the wheel of change which was a yellow icon but what now

Please help I feel so dumb lol

Go for the yellow stars, they're main missions.

Finished missions disappear once completed, so try doing it again. You must have failed and not realized it or something.

Its not a game that lets you choose between multiple missions, or repeat completed ones mid game (new game+ lets you repeat em)

The star may be in the same place, that just means your next mission starts in the same place :), well that or you failed the last mission and then quit to roaming...
