cant beat the two big warriors on chapter 3-2

after I put in the 4 plates to open the door and get into the village the 2 big guys wont go down.....i've tryed every weapon, land mines, melee...still nothing, so wahts the trick to beating these guys? please help

try you best to get them on their knees by shooting low then mele them, get up so there is only a few places for them to reach you

a little tip for the future if someone ends here looking for a clue how to beat them.
they are very resilient to ammo other than magnum's. not to mention they wear bulletproof mask. it's the best to take magnum and shoot them in their knees.
