I thought my first post on the new and hopefully improved home ought to be an apology for my lack of presence.

I've just got back from travelling Europe (Brussells and Strasbourg in fact) and have been out the country for a while but I am back ready and willing now ;D

BTW French and Belgium's beers are fantastic. Stella from the factory is absolutely mint, either though it is a bit of a wife beater juice, lol ;D

We did take a 6 pint Stella challenge, where you must drink 6 in an hour.

Try it, it's not as easy as you think. Especially how heavy Stella sits on you.

bottles are easy tho, my missis can do a bottle in like 3 seconds somehow. dunno how she does it, but oh my god yes ;)

i can down a single pint quickly, but downing an uber 5 pint glass is different. need a different breathing strategy lol

Yea, a bottle isn't that hard. Only thing is the small openinig, what makes it a lot harder.

I've managed 6 pints of Castlemaine XXXX in an hour with minutes to spend and that includes queueing at the bar and paying.

But Stella, jesus, it sits heavy, goes straight to ya head and is gassy too. 6 pints unfortunately we failed, and that was 5 of us.

cant drink lager, its not the heaviness its the gassiness. nothing worse than having to belch every 2 minutes.

then decided to go on holiday, and wanted to detox, so moved onto cider as its like apple tango- just a soft drink. so first night of detox, 10 pints of cider in and i dont wake up with a hamgover. loved it from then on lol
