Yes you can, to make it faster turn alternate shot on.

This achievement does take all the fun out of the game. 100 multiplayer games is just far too many.

Are we sure that local games count, I have been doing them for ages and still not unlocked the achievement.

I can confirm that local multiplayer games DO NOT count towards your 100 games played total.
