Is this game going to be gutar/bass only?

I have a feeling that this game is going to be guitar/bass only. I know it probably wont happen but eventually they will end up making one when they realize they suck at making band games.

No, this is going to be full band. They wouldn't be able to compete with Rock Band if it were just guitar and bass.

And more than likely if that happened....Guitar Hero would be no more....because everyone would be buying Rock Band for the full band experience.

well it is called GUITAR HERO not drum hero or singing hero and they will probably be making BAND hero to compete with rock band

Rockband is horrbible IMO. It has good songs, THATS IT. GH SUCKS! at charting drums and also IMO they are more fun on rockband. GH can compete just fine with rockband because if they went back to guitar then they would do hard guitar songs instead of these easy boring ones we always get because of the need for drum/vocal parts. Do you know how many people know GH got horrible after 3? I think almost everyone.

I hope its full band cause the more competition the more it pushes Harmonix to make an even better version of Rock Band. I mean as long as Guitae Hero is making band games, there will surely be a steady flow of RB DC every tuesday along with band versions of RB and RB sequals. The more Activision tries, the more Harmonix tries. And we all know the harder Harmonix tries the better off we all are.

Guitar Hero needs to go back to GH3 that was beast and GH: WT sucks hard :( they are just copying and pasting at least 70% of the achievements as well witch is heaps lame. If I wanted a band game I would play Rock Band.

I was pretty good at Guitar Hero until it turned into Rock Band, Please stop ruining Guitar Hero :(

Im saying right now that GH cant match up to RB. With the RB DLC coming out and with barely any DLC coming out for GH, jeez theres no point for RB3(If you know, they were ever thinking of it). I think RB just rules every music game.

Yeah, sure, answer now. It's not a hate comment to question why people feel the need to come onto boards of games they don't like to post in every topic how their favorite series is superior simply because it's superior.
Also, there's weekly releases for Guitar Hero DLC, it's just announced on a monthly basis. They don't have nearly as much as Rock Band because they got a late start, but it's released with just as much regularity.

Guitar Hero WT has been my favourite GH series yet and i will be definately getting this one :). Also Rock band can suck my balls.

I have been a hardcore Guitar Hero fan, until GH:WT, my instruments are all broken and have been playing Rock Band 2 a lot and I have to say if Guitar Hero 5 is as poorly put together as GH:WT I will jump ship. I plan on getting this game but only the guitar version. It saddens me to see Guitar Hero losing to Rock Band.

I don't really understand the flaming of guitar hero in here, not for the fact that its a GH forum, but for the fact that like it was previously mentioned, the competition between Harmonix and Activision is healthy for the consumer, like it or not they will continue to release games until your money is dry.
I for one play Rock Band far more then GH, given that I have a substantially larger DLC selection on RB, but I think GH has its qualities, I don't mind playing it on occasion. I think that GH5 looks alot more refined and they seem to have ironed out all thier flaws from the predecessor. If u can't afford all the games they seem to keep pushing out then you should flame them because of that reason. Because for the most part thats where all the hostility comes from.:):):):):Bounce:

I think all the GH games are great but i hate the band stuff. But my faves are GH:3 and GH:Metallica, I mean every Metallica fan should love that game. But Rock band is also good. The only thing i hate about rock band, is the hammer ons and pull offs suck donkey d!ck. Oh and I'll be playing GH:5 in about 2 hours

I hope they do go back to just producing guitar and bass based games. It is after all guitar hero and not band hero. You can't expect to get full points when you need the drum set and a mic and 3 others, and arranging a band online is a pain in the tits.

I know these games are more about the fun and novelty factor and not about the gamerscore, but the more points the better, right?
