Demolition side missions...please help!

I can't seem to do any demolition side missions (admittedly I have only tried 2 so far...). When U get to whatever needs blowing (a petrol garage) it seems that nothing will actyually blow the thing up - I have tried grenades, bazooka, C4, driving at it really fast and even getting in a helicopter and pumping it full missiles...

One strange thing I have noticed is that I am able to walk or drive straight thru whatever it is I am trying to blow up so I can't decide if it is a bug...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'am not sure what it is your talking about? I don't remember any demolition side missions. I don't mean to sound like a smart ass, but are you sure you're talking about Just Cause.

He he - yes mate, definitely talking about Just Cause! I am only a couple of hours in to the game so these missions are early on. As mentioned, they are side missions (so yellow '!') and the two I have tried so far involved blowing up a petrol/gas station and blowing up a large gas canister (or something similar - can't remember exactly). When you see the guy to get the mission he says "I have some demolition work for you - check your PDA...."

The main problem is that once you accept the mission you can't then save your game or start any other missions until it is complete. If I can't blow the blimmin petrol station up then my only option is to turn off the box....

Oh ok. Your talkin about the side missions for the cartel. I don't remember getting that mission, but I remember have one to blow up a radio tower. When I tried using a helicopter to blow it up it wouldn't work. I had to use a specific weapon to do it. I think when i started the mission I automaticly got the weapon I needed, but I'am not sure. Sorry I can't be more help.

I actualy (izat spelled right? and izat? and izat?.....) had the same problem. My solution: Give Up! Seriously if you figure it out let me know.

I believe it is a glitch in the game that you cannot complete those missions. So whenever you get one of those types of mission, just ignore it and go do something else. Like base jumping.

I had the same problem. I tried remote and timed explosives, grenades, shotgun on the pumps ala Saints Row, and even blowing up vehicles next to the garage and no joy. However, you don't have to turn the game off. I asked for an extraction and got out. Once I was so far away from the mission area it failed me.

I am having the same problem. However, I just go to the guy (or a different guy) who gave me the mission and got another one instead. Don't we need all the side missions for the achievement? Are there more missions than required to get the ach?

Yeah I got it too, just failed the mission and went back and I could blow it up

Damn ive just started this game again aswell lol, i loved this game years ago the memories lol.
