Can't open ventilation shaft

Hi,

I'm at the end of the mine core level and must open a ventilation shaft to get to tower 19. It shows me to press Y but nothing happens. I lokked on youtube and all those guys do is press Y and riddick opens the fucking thing. When I do it he does nothing. It pissis me of to no end. Can someone please help me.

Cannot remember the place you are talking about exactly, but some vents require a vent tool to open. I would think you already have one at this point?

Anyways, you can buy one from Monster in the Feed Ward if this is the problem. Otherwise I wouldn't know what the problem is I'm afraid... :confused:

I was stuck in the same place, you need to go down on the lift and buy a vent tool from one of the workers.. providing you have not killed him..

Yeah, what you do is: walk out from the locker room in the start of the level and look to your right down the corridor. You should see a health station at the end.
Go down there and turn left into the room. Proceed down to the end of this room and look to your left. See the handrail there? Jump over it and down into the hole behind it. Down here you will find a vent tool for the vent shaft. :)

Ok I found it. You don't have to buy one. In the work pass area go right and kill the enemies. One of them will drop one. I found it later when I came to do room to get the bomb in tower 19.

Yes, there is. Just follow my instructions above carefully to get cig. pack #30.
The vent tool is in the start of the area when you exit the showers/locker room. Remember you have to jump over a railing to the left in the room and down into the hole behind it.
The vent tool is on the floor down there. You will have to use it on a vent shaft to get up from that area again. ;)

Yeah there is a couple of vent tools lying around, you lose the one you have when you get caught by the guards (along with the rest of your weapons)

They surely can be pretty useless if they are too vague in their description.

When someone decides to make a guide they better make it with thorough descriptions. But I do understand that some areas can be difficult to describe. :)
