Part of the main quest, just keep doing the primary questline. Just keep following the plot/instructions from when you first start the game. (Thanks to MrJul)

Note: I personally got mine after investigating that downed ship prior to actually capturing/fighting a Soulless. This achievement COULD be glitched. Details are needed.

Defeat the Gamma Sphere.

This is the final boss/game completion achievement. Just beat the game, pretty simple stuff in theory. For particular strategies against him, you have two options. You can "farm" mines and keep upgrading your ship until you can easily overthrow him OR you can simply plan ahead, learn the enemy's tactics through trial and error and just keep at it.

Reach Level 50.
You'll get this before you beat the game, and if you don't get it then keep doing quests and battles while collecting the White (EXP) gems.

Unlock all Psi Powers.

Start the "XXth of the Lost" missions located near the Serpens galaxy (there will be a blinking quest node somewhere nearby, explore that galaxy.) You then unlock the psi powers by doing these "XXth of the Lost" missions: there are eight total, each granting a new psi power. (Additional help from MrJul)

Hack a LeapGate.

It'd be an achievement if you could AVOID hacking a LeapGate. This one is handed to you at the start of the game. Just follow the onscreen instructions and complete your first LeapGate Hack puzzle.

Successfully mine 10 asteroids.

Fly around to the various asteroids and participate in the mining mini-game (you unlock the mining ability simply by progressing through the main storyline) If you finish mining by getting a "Black Hole" doesn't count towards your "Successful" mines.

Complete the Haggling minigame with 6 Gems or less on the board.
Once you get Pezts (or whatever his name is, the rat guy), you can press http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/lb.png in any shop to get the Haggling mini game. To get the achievement, you must have 6 gems or less left when finishing. Try the game multiple times until you get it. Always group gems by 4 or 5 when you can, and try to keep the board centered by carefully choosing the direction when making a group.

The achievement unlocks AFTER you exit the minigame, DO NOT RETRY OR YOU WON'T GET THE ACHIEVEMENT!

Unlock a rumor.

It is basically story related, during your quests to figure out what the soulless are, you get sent on a mission to recover some data. You get the member Legara and use her with a minigame to obtain the rumor. (Thanks to Callidus171)

I can confirm that you must avoid Black Holes. This achievement is tricker than it seems.

Thanks. It appears the most "difficult" one to achieve would be the Haggling mini-game. I spent about 30 minutes on it and have yet to get it. Also, I realize I may not be the BEST person to do this guide as I haven't already crushed the game beneath my foot, but it's better to have SOMETHING started than nothing, right?

The Illumination achievement is story related. You get it after defeating the Luminary Archive. You can't miss it. Just do the story related quests and you'll get there eventually.

Re smooth talker - make sure you don't hit the retry button else you don't get the achievement I was on autopilot and pressed it when I only had four gems left and had to keep trying until I had only a few left to then make sure I hit finish

Haggling took me about 2 hours cause i kept pressing retry when I succeeded xD so yea, once u finish the game wth 6 or less, press B not A!

Just hit 49 and it says 13,230 to hit 50. Pretty random number. Rumors are a pretty good source of exp/intel to level up but can be frustrating when you get stuck on one for a while.

Is the capture the soulless achievement awarded after you capture that first one and take it to the...Quesadans or whatever? I'm well past that and am currently looking for the Luminary Archive.

If so, that blows because that's a good ways into it. I think I'll just forget that one and deal with it.
