Xbox Live problems, once again.

My internet has been messing up for the past few days, Not just on my Xbox but on all computers. We finally just got a new router today and I have trouble connecting to Xbox Live in general but I can keep messing with the cable and it will let me connent. NOW when I get on live I cant join or invite anyone to a party and I cant invite or join anyones game. When I play in a game by myself I can here everyone perfect and my connection is perfect with no lagging but I still cant invite my friends..any help?

You probably have a closed or moderate NAT, find out your router's model and such then look up how to open it's NAT.
