Doom was probably the worst game to movie remake that i have seen in many years. Especially since they fucked with teh story line.

Doom was probably the worst game to movie remake that i have seen in many years. Especially since they fucked with teh story line.


They did this to avoid the Hell Storyline beings that going that direction is borderline with controversy. This has be proven with other movies ie: "The Cell", "Constatine", and "End of Days."

Bashing the Doom movie is a little rough. Mind you, I'm not defending it, but they did beter than I thought they would. I mean, what did you expect? That the Marines (Not Soldiers as Rock tends to say about 100000 times in the movie) to just pass through a portal and be fighting Flying Skulls engulfed in flames and Massisve Minotars with brains on spider legs?

Positives of the Movie:
1. The Rock NEVER once did the eyebrow.
2. The Monters looked AWESOME.
3. First Person Sequence was the selling point.
4. The Rock dies! roXorZ!!
5. Karl Urban looks alot like the Orginal Doom Marine we play as.

Negatives:
1. The Rock NEVER once did the Eyebrow. lol
2. The BFG was put off as a PoS because The Rock made hallways with it rather than actually hit something with it.
3. The Rock called everybody Soldiers. (That's Army terminology for those unfamiliar, not Marine)
4. The Storyline was very drawn out and took too long to set up. The Marines spend the First hour of the movie chaising Monkees and Rats and barking out orders that they were chasing something that they never found.
5. WTF is the Ark?
6. The movie touched on a side tale of John and Samanthas childhood that was never really revealed.

Yes, the negatives outweigh the positives but honestly, Bloodrayne made me want to punch myself in the face. Much worse than Doom.

I saw the preview to Silent Hill movie. It looks great and looks just like Silent Hill 2. I LOVE the Silent Hill series. I hope they come out with something similiar on the 360.

I thought the movie was pretty good...probally because Im a movie whore. Ive played Doom I, II, and a portion of 3 and when I saw this movie the other day It didnt really hit me that this was that bad. (Untill Doom3 I never really payed attention to the story, It was just KILL KILL KILL) I will say that House Of The Dead, Mortal Kombat 2, and RE2 did dissappoint me.
I will say this tho that I was mad about Nemesis helping out Alice, hes supposed to be evil, but it did fit with what they did in the 1st RE movie, so I cant really bitch about that....

The Resident Evil movies are rubbish if you ask me, AVP is almost as bad as well. However even though I have never seen the MK movie, I will admit that the soundtrack to the film kicks ass!

Silent Hill is the only movie based on a game that I've found worth watching. Not a single other movie captured the feeling of the game it was based on better than that one.

As soon as I saw all the critics and non-fans going, "WTF did I just watch?" I knew it was going to be perfect. Honestly, I think in some parts they almost explained too much. Fortunately, the ending helped alleviate much of that. Can't wait to own a Special Edition on DVD.


The second Mortal Kombat movie wasn't bad, but the first one was just rubbish. Resident Evil: Apocalypse was much improved over the first, but that isn't saying a whole hell of a lot.

And Doom was... well... yeah...

4. The first Pokemon movie and that's only because I was young. I loved that movie when I was a kid .
