Two Massive Achievement Bugs...save your time!!!

OK, so where's my 150 GS?!

So, I've liberated all provinces (all 33), but Just Cause won't give me the Liberator Achievement.

In addition, I've beaten 44 of the 45 Rioja Takeover missions. The 45th mission doesn't have any guys to fight and keeps saying to "kill the Montano Henchmen" even though there aren't any. So I can't get the 45 Takeover Mission achievement either.

Save your time and don't bother trying for these achievements.

I know the game is glitchy but usually it works eventually...

I did reboot, several times. I wonder if it's too late? I already saved my game...

What should I do after rebooting? Can the achievements kick in later or are they at the time?

I do have a few saved games, but since I've done each mission 40+ times only to have it glitch, I guess it's quitting time for me.

Just Cause is a fun albeit repetitive, glitchy game. It was quite enjoyable, but not worth going back for.

i had the same thing happen on the province liberations i just had to find whichever province was not completely under guerrilla rule and do more side missions in them

well i have to say i left this game after getting Dead rising and other ones but now i've gone back to it,

I started one collect mission, next thing my game crashed it just seemed to be stuck in a loop of me falling into glitchness,i was about to turn off my console when it unlocked every collect mission achievement for me..

bonus huh? ...
so think ill go and get the 1000 outta this game afterall.. :)

I didnt get complete mission 14 story acheievement although I completed it. Anybody know if I get it at end of game if I complete the story mode missions? And places where I need to liberate, I go to the guy and he only offers side missions instead of starting liberation so I won't be getting the takeover achievements as well if they don't allow me to liberate although they are still under government control. The game freezes up and has a ton of techinical glitches like turning off all your sound (audio options) and still getting the helicopter sound booming through my tv. I have to go to map screen and it goes away. But it comes back. Game is no fun, they should have called this game Just Glitched.

Dude, i feel yur pain. My game did the same danm thing... sorta. I showed up to my last liberation mission, an army base. Jumped out of my choppa and landed next to the green arrows that point to yur boss... but he wasnt there. He dident show over twenty times i remember, but one time he did show up, and i got killed by those glitched tanks lol. Dont give up man, keep trying. Try approaching the mission from a different angle, or maybe instead of jumping out of yur plaine, hellacopter or w/e, just land it next to him. Little shit like this made all the difference for me. Hey guys

I completed just cause and got about 400 of the points whilst I wasnt into xbox live, recovered my gamertag on another console, played there. Came back to my console, recovered my tag back and its wiped 360 of the 400 points!!! Waaaaahh!!!! Iv'e now got to play the game through again which is a pain in the ass.

Do you guys have any suggestions as to what else can be done, heard of this before? Any help would be much appreciated.

ive had that problem but on another game i got some points on a console were i recovered my tag but then wen i logged back onto my own i didnt get any of the points

i think it might have been becasue wen i recovered onto the other console i was playin it offline and then since i logged back into live on that one i had been on mine online an got some more points so the other ones didnt count

i donno tho lol

I'll have to learn from these posts and be careful about how I get the remainder of the points on this one..... I dont want to be left out on points cause of a crazy glitch or something !

Talking about glitches... I had good one! I was doing side mission and drive with amulance (what you have to get into garage to finish you mission) suddenly screen went crasy, some numbers running in corner and i could not see where i am! and it starts writing subtitels that i compleated collect mission 1, 2, 3... and all of them! Got achievement also! But still all dots are on the map after restart of console and if i look at start menu then they are uncompleated! But as i have achievement i do not need to collect those anymore :)

I can tell that much... I recived my 7th mission compleation achievement after i done 8th!

14th mission compleated achievement i got when i made 16th!

So i suggsest to do them all and i will get them!

Getting the 7th and 14th mission complete achievements that way has been confirmed as being correct. It's not a fault with the game, its just the way the game was designed by the sound of it....

Continuing the theme of glitches.... I had to do the base jump achievement manually ! Grrr. Took me a while and all for 5 measly Gamer points ! Dammit !
