easy 1000?

just scrolling down and looking at all of the topics, everyone seems to have a problem with something different from the next person. is this game an fairly hard 1000 or can it be done in 10 - 15 hours? definately a rental...right?

Its definately a rental and I would say that a more reasonable time frame for completion would be 20-25 hours. The game itself isn't hard it just becomes extremely repetitive after you finish the story and can be frustrating due to the many glitches.

Yeah there are alot of glitches and bugs.

So, I've liberated all provinces (all 33), but Just Cause won't give me the Liberator Achievement.

In addition, I've beaten 44 of the 45 Rioja Takeover missions. The 45th mission doesn't have any guys to fight and keeps saying to "kill the Montano Henchmen" even though there aren't any. So I can't get the 45 Takeover Mission achievement either.

Save your time and don't bother trying for these 2 achievements.

The rest are pretty easy, but I'm not sure you want to go on a collect-a-thon. Racing isn't bad, but the driving isn't that interesting in the first place.

I thought it was a total of 34 provinces... i might be wrong. If you look at your political map and all territories are green then yeah you got them all. If you don't do that last takeover mission, you can't liberate all territories b/c thats part of liberating them. As for an easy 1000... well it depends on what you define as easy. Its NOT a hard game. But it will take you some time (took me 24 hours for 1000) to get all the little things like liberation missions and takeovers. They are fun for the first few times but when you have to to 90+ missions (liberation + takeover) of just running through and killing, it can get VERY repetitive. They don't take too long but doing it 90+ times make it seem excruciating at times. Not to mention having to do 50 side missions. By no means do these side missions take long (did all 50 in an hour) they just are soooooooooo dumb and a couple of them were kinda buggy.

All in all this game is fun, just not so much after you finish the main "story" line and a few side missions.

It took me about 24 hours to get all 1000 points, but I didn't encounter any of the glitches that other posters have had. As mentioned before, the game is pretty repetitive and it's a little frustrating getting around until you get the gyrocopter. But the game isn't all bad, skydiving and grappling around on planes is fun.

I rented this game and fell in love so I went out and bought it! It can get very repetitive but the graphics are beautiful besides all the unfinished bugs! Still, I have tons of fun playing this easy game and the achievements are fairly simple but can take some time to get full 1000.

This game is extremely easy. 20-24 hours is not bad for a game at all. I never encountered one glitch (I think some of you may have been doing it wrong who knows?). Awesome awesome game. It can get frustrating when those stupid explosive tanks keep killing you in the army bases but other then grab the jackson skreemer and we're OFF.

I thought this was easy but then again I was the first person in North America to complete the game and I was doing it with Kaens as a head to head first to finish challenge he came in second in North America. it took me a day and a half a little bit longer due to our differing strategies

I am finding the game monotonous after getting 855 points. I'll return, I'm sure, to it- but the final liberation achievement is a pain in the ass.

Jus save yourself the time the points are easy... jus extreamly boring and not worth you wanting to kill yourself over the turdest game EVUR!!! (except from Lone Soldier on the PS)

I got really bored halfway thru and took a 2 month break from the game. But little by little you can battle thru it. Only a couple of the main missions are difficult and sometimes you can get stuck on a libertation of a city where there are tanks. Other then that its pretty okay.

I bought it on the day it came out. Played around 2 weeks the first time. I like to keep things fresh and play different missions the game has to offer to unlock achievements.

Play some Main mission, do some stunts, do collect missions, side missions etc... to keep things fresh and a step closer to get those achievements.

After 2 weeks, I stopped playing and moved on to the next one. A few months later I picked this up again to libirate the island, do all the races and some stunts, finished the rest of the game in another 2 weeks.

And the view is awesome, breathtaking.:Bounce:

I agree there is a lot to do in this game. I love getting the agency boat and doing the collect missions. I have been playing it for a little while, but moved on to GRAW2 and other games that i want to finish.

Recommend to anyone, it is a fun game, and is an easy 1000, just takes a little bit of time.

To me it is stunts that will mess me up! I am doing the collect missions, rebel missions, Stunts and then the main story!

I want the end to be 'the end'. And then sticking it in Gamestation to get some credit.

i think it is a rental but in some ways it is a party game i fond the point easy on my old accont (none xbox live) but i did about 700 point in around 20 hours then i had to take it back.if i did come done in price like 10 pounds i would buy it because it is fun :uzi:

I have completed all the achievements in this game 100% it took me about 25-30 hours taking control over all the settlements must of been the most boring thing i have done in a long time its very repetitive, and the longest part about getting 100% achievements.

I actually really liked the game. I don't know how long it would take to finish if you were only playing it for the points but it took me about 30-40 hours because I kept basejumping everywhere and trying all the different vehicles. It is really easy though (except for the last military base mission)

ill agree with the majority of the people who posted on this thread that the main thing that will annoy you in your quest for the big 100% is the how tedious the missions become after doing so many i literally spent the last 4 hours finishing the last 12 provinces, 15 takeover missions, and 39 side missions and im very relieved to see that every single achievement unlocked when it was supposed to with no glitches or bugs what so ever

ya the only achievement bug i've had so far was that i somehow got the base jump 1000 meters achievement during a cutscene where rico jumped off of a cliff to avoid an explosion. now i just need my friend to give me my game back so i can finish the rest of it

This game took me 28 hours for 1000 G.

The biggest part of the game is easy, however, some liberate missions (with tanks) made my blood boile and my controller bounce.

Satisfied about having 1000 G tho. It was worth it, after all.

thankfully me and my good gamer buddy swap games all the time, so i've got access to the game whenever i like.

the game is very monotanous. if rented you need a good weekend of solid play to get the 1000.

It really isn't that hard. It is just about 4 hours of actual missions, 2 hours of races, 3-5 hours of odd-jobs, about 15-20 hours of liberations and takeovers, then another 2 hours to finish off the rest of the achievements. This was one of the games I nailed before I periodically barrowing my friend's wireless adapter, so I wasn't tempted by the likes of Team Fortress when getting the achievements, so I wasn't tempted to quit every hour. It is a fun game, the liberations are fun, the army bases have tanks that insta-pwn your face (one tank shot equals half dead plus a 5 second recovery time, vs. the tank's 3 second shot recovery time,) and you won't get bored. I recommend getting the achievements, as they are fun, aren't empty in how much respect they earn, while they also aren't extremely difficult to get.

It took me about 27 hours to get all 1000 and I consider myself to have average skill. I didn't go in with a plan straight-away, so I had to backtrack and whatnot. But getting 1000 eventually is no big thing. :)

Are you talking about the part where you are air dropped in a hot zone? And when I say hot zone the water is literally cooking you alive by the hotness of the hot zone? Ya, I remember that part. Took me about 2 hours to get passed. First you have to land right, right next to the boat. Hop in, and go as fast as possible to land, don't slow down, you are being chased by helicopters that will pwn your face. Crash up onto land, shoot as you run to the mansion, add a 3/4ths an industrial sized tanker of luck, and you will be done =)

I rented this game for the past few days and was so close to a smooth 1000, but got caught on the lousy air-race [my last achievement]. I've been trying it for the last hour and was a whisker away from chucking my TV out of the window. Thats how frustrating it was.

Tried it in the plane countless times and kept getting caught on the checkpoint where you have to go over or around the cliff and into the tight ravine to get the one right in the little dead-end bit [I did get past it once, then got screwed over on what must have been one of the last checkpoints because it didn't detect my wing going through the marker]. The controls for the planes are so f$&£@!% lousy that its a nightmare manoeuvring them in tight spots. I also tried it in the Gyrocopter multiple times, but it was a split-second too slow.


As much as I would really like to get 1000, I value my sanity and my Xbox 360 in working-order more, and I fear what I would do if I went back to this game to do it again. I was actually moderately liking it up to this point, and even though I have rage issues, no game has quite nearly driven me to exploding like this game has just done.

No....this game is like GTA in South America or maybe even Crackdown in the South America.
