Small suggestion for the General X-Box 360 FAQ...

A) Yes, you can slap a password on your gamertag. Go to your 360 settings while signed into Live and you will be able to set password protection to your gamertag. It will have to be a combination of the triggers, bumpers, X, Y and the Directional Pad on your controller.

I have a suggestion to have something added to this...

In the event you forget your password, you must delete your profile from your hard drive (just profile, not profile and achievements) and recover your gamertag to disable the passcode. That is the only way to disable to your forgotten passcode.



I'm not sure as to when that was checked last, but I think that information would be helpful for anyone expierencing that problem.

Ah yes, valid point, it just clicked that you were the one who posted the FAQ, lol. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess, lol. You're welcome by the way. I actually had that forgotten password situation happen to me and I contacted Microsoft for the fix. :drunk

I will make note to just send a private message next time.
