It works only with two consoles.

No, It can be done with two controllers.

Start any chapter with any amount of eggs, press start on the second control (must have a second profile signed in)join in and select save location/save. Give the egg to sheva. Now press start on Control 1 and selected EXIT GAME, when you do that it gives you an option to save your inventory changes. Save your changes for Sheva, but not for chris.

Now load up the game again, press start for sheva once again but this time give the egg BACK to chris, now when you select exit... save changes for Chris but not for sheva. When you get back into the game and join in with Sheva she still will have the egg! Alwasy discard changes for Sheva unless you are increasing her egg limit.

Keep duplicating and moving eggs between the two until you have 45. Never overwrite Shevas profile once you have max eggs, keep them on her incase you ever need to transfer eggs to your main profile

Confirmed, it works with 2 controllers.
The thing is, no matter what you choose, Chris will have his inventory saved.
For Sheva (ie Controller 2), if you choose No, hers won't be.

An example below:

Chris has 3 eggs, I give them all to Sheva
Save - Chris/N Sheva/Y
End result: Chris 0 eggs, Sheva 3 eggs

Reload the level, Sheva gives all 3 eggs back to Chris.
Save - Chris/Y Sheva/N
End result: Chris 3 eggs, Sheva 3 eggs

Thus in this way, you can build up Sheva's egg inventory. Took a while, but she now has 45 rotten eggs, 5 for each slot.
Transferring all the eggs takes around 45 seconds, 1 second per egg.
That's 90k per minute. Sure beats getting money the normal way.
Upgrading one weapon to the max takes a ludicrous amount of money, around 100k or more, and there are more than 10 weapons to upgrade.

This nifty trick will certainly save a lot of time.
Can't say the same about BP though, lol. 20k for infinite ammo on Hydra. An S Mercs run gives you 3k BP, so I guess you'll have to choose wisely which weapon you want infinite ammo on.
I chose the S&W magnum for my first, makes the game really easy, even on Veteran.
