capture achievements taking forever to unlock

I was boosting with a couple guys and the novice capture achievement (5 games) took about 15 games to get. We stayed in the entire match and played from beginning to end. I'm concerned that its gonna take forever for us to get the vetern one because thats so much longer. Anyone know why this is happening?

Same here, dude. I don't know what's up with it. I played this game for 8hrs MINIMUM one day (and I've played it plenty more besides) and I still don't even have novice capturer. I'm pretty sure 20hrs+ online time would rend at least 5 games, eh?

novice got around 20-25 games, i swear i've played at least 80 games and i've heard that's around when veteran capture has unlocked for other people. everytime i play a game i think "damn this has got to be the one where i get it" but it never happens. it is nice that they made them 0 points but i'm anal and have to complete things especialy if it's something "easy" like just playing so many games...

I was boosting last night.

I got the novice capturer after ATLEAST 20 games.

This is my first time in multiplayer and I killed loads of people that had the Truly Inspired achievement - and I didn't unlock the Victory or Death achievement

can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I'm after 100% in this game and at the moment that doesn't look possible...

I haven't played this game since it was first released, but I just bought it for $10 since I really liked it.

I do remember reading back in the day that if you were host, then it would always count that you played the game, but for everyone else it was kinda glitchy/hit-or-miss.

If playing with friends or whatever try to take turns hosting and see if that works.


Hope that helps. I'm worried that the online community is very minimal and that there hasn't been a patch or update ever for the game...is that true?

You're right, when I inserted the game for the first time there was no update required which I was very surprised at.

I'll give the hosting a go when I have the time and I'll report back. Thanks :)

HOST!!! i wasted so much time on this game, i was boosting with some guys last week and some people got there capture novice capture just from playing but one guy actually had to host before he got his achievement and we had all been playing from the start. it makes no sense why it counts some games for some people and then doesn't count others. The only guarantee of getting this is to HOST. if you've played over 20 games then start hosting.

Something should be put into the guide about hosting the games...

Can confirm that hosting seems to be the key to getting the capture achievements. I'd played in excess of 50 games and only had the achievement for 1 completed game.

I started a room, and after 5 games and then 20 games, the achievements unlocked no problem. :woop:

I agree about something being added to the guide, because it would suck if you just kept playing and hoping.
