Do you think, (when)/(if) Tiki retires at the end of the year, he should go into the Hall Of Fame?
I think he deserves it, hes a hell of a football player. Don't think hes a 1st ballot hall of famer maybe 2nd or third...
And on that note, let the jags give him hell tonight :biglaugh

Eventually I think he will.. After this season he'll be in the top 20 rushers all-time, passing the likes of Earl Campbell and Joe Perry, who are both HOFers.

We'll see how long it takes the likes of someone like Thurman Thomas to get in the HOF, he made it to the top 10 this year, so he should be added within a year or two. I think Tiki will receive the same type of treatment as good ol' Thurman, with all the superstars that will be eligible around the same time as Tiki (potentially, if he retires this season) like Jerry Rice, possibly Brett Favre, etc... It'd be real hard to consider him on the first ballot..

If he was able to produce at a current level for two more seasons I think he'd be a shoo-in. His early retirement is going to hurt his case. When Barry Sanders retired early it wasn't the same because he put up HOF numbers from season one. Tiki didn't come into his own as an elite back until the last 3 or 4 years. I really like the guy but I don't think it'll be enough. If Thurman Thomas isn't in, than Tiki shouldn't be.

This was Thurman's first year of eligibility, i dont think he'll be left out for any longer than another year..

Tiki is not first ballet ,but he is HoF. Dont forget Curtis Martin is probally going to retire after this year and Martin > Tiki. Also if Farve calls it quits (I dont think he will)

Just a quick note - the football HoF isn't like baseball where only a few people from a list get in. Each candidate is judged on his/her own merits. They could have no one get in one year and seven the next. Granted they'd probably never do no one because that would make for a very lame awards ceremony.

No, you usually have to display some sort of talent in order to enter.

If he doesn't then it's a crime.

He does benefit from playing in NY but, I can see him making it in until at least his 3rd year of eligibility.
