DW : Gundam 2 is the sequel to DW: Gundam obivously. in which the various worlds of Gundam collide into a war for their own beliefs in what is right and what is wrong. This sequel contains mobile suits from the famous Chars Counterattack Movie as well as the main characters off of Gundam Seed Destiny. There are now new ways of fighting giving you the question of whether or not you should put the trigger against you enemy to help build "Friendship" with other pilots. Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2 is everything the first franchise should have been.

You've beaten DW: Gundam and you've come to assume the achievements for the sequel is just as easy? Well your wrong. Players must go through alot more trouble to unlock material for their galleries and unlock the other player characters, unlike DW:Gundam where everything was handed to you after completing a characters story. From finishing 16 pilots stories, now you have 40 to complete as well as different missions such as extra mission , collection missions, etc. And you cant mindlessly shoot down your opponents without them hating you, you now have a Friendship chart where you must build good relations with every other character. This game is a handful, but still a doable 1000. Expect to waste 100+ hours going for 1000, but if your dedicated enough it shouldnt much trouble for you.

Step #1:Official Mode
Play through everyone's official mode mission to unlock them for use during your mission mode playthrough. This is a very simple start which should guarantee your first 75 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg. You can also recieve "Love is the Pulse in the Stars" and "10000 Shot Downs" if you average enough in your missions for an extra 50http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg.

Step #2:Mission Mode
During this play through youll have everything focused on one character of your preference for "All Friendship". Play through many Free Missions, Friendship Missions, Collection Missions and join many factions until you've accumulated 68 people in your Longue. Afterwards work on your Licenses and pull 40 of your 68 people into friendship in order to play the missions shown under "All Friendship" which is sure to unlock the achievement for you. Also note you have finish the following characters to get all Licenses if your not already using them:


Kira Yamato
Athrun Zala
Shinn Asuka
Uso
Seabook Arno

Step#3:Mop Up
Here youll finish up any characters you have yet to unlock, Missions you need to complete and etc. The toughest task however will be the "All Missions cleared" achievement which will involve playing every mission at least once in mission mode. This will take a long time to accomplish and alot of dedicated, Alot of missions are naturally unlocked for most players, but the missions that arent unlocked this way will give you alot of trouble as you have to find out exact requirements just for that missions.

Step#4:Xbox Live:
This can be done at anytime, you can either fight with your own skills, or boost with a partner online. Ranked Matches are hard to find and is also just as hard to find an opponent when you create a match which could take you a while unless you boost, but if your patient enough you can easily win the 500 ace points. War Mode is usually the most played mode of the three on Xbox live.

The game will truly be a game to get for the DW Fans, the Gundam fans & Hack and Slashers as the game introduced new modes from the older series and a decent online versus mode. Unlike its previous version, this game cant really be considered an "Easy Achievement Game". You have to play few missions on hard and the requirements of using low class mobile suits makes it harder. Highly recommended for DW fans.

This can easily be obtained by after youve completed everyones mission mode story missions as well as the Official Mode storys. There is however alternate endings for the following characters, play the last missions and follow these guides


Amuro

Follow through with the regular mission until youve taken over the base of A Baou Qu. Proceed one field forward and Johnny will spawn, Kai and Hayato will quit whatever theyre doing and head straight for Johnny, stay where you are, dont proceed or theyll head back to defend the white base when it gets attacked. Once the reach Johnny, just wait and allow Kai and Hayato to get shot down


Kamille

Look under "Love is the Pulse in the Stars"



Char

The Radish must get shot down in the beginning of the mission Emma will retreat, Proceed with your mission and then Emma and Reccoa will spawn fighting ... let it drag out and theyll both die and once Haman and Scircco head to Grsyp 2 , Wait out the time for so the colony laser doesnt fire. Finish the mission regularly and youll unlock the ending



Judau

Let Haman finish talking while fighting her, This may take a couple minutes. Also slowly tap Haman with same hits to keep the conversations going, You may end up killing her but it wont change that youll get the alternate ending

On Kamille's Official Mode, mission 8, make sure the Radish isn't destroyed, Emma doesn't die with Raccoa, and make sure Gryps Laser fires. Then kill Haman and Scirocco. I also didn't let any officers die for good measure.

Dark Gundam cannot be found on any mission mode. I've completed 6 thus far. He was not seen on Amuro, Char, Kira, or Athrun. But was seen on Seabook and Domon.

4th parts aren't like 4th weapons from Dynasty Warriors. When you complete the required mission (like, Shot down 20,000 mobile suits mission), you read a letter from the Terminal that tells you the rank 4 parts are available. Also, on mobile select screen the name changes from white to yellow to indicate which has rank 4 parts released for them. However...once I beef up Freedom Gundam some more, I'll dabble in some Hard stages and see what happens. But I believe that the difficulty just determines the grade of items dropped not possible rank 4 if it's not released already.

More than likely I'll get 40,000 and possibly 50,000 mobile suits shot down tomorrow and I'll see if it'll give more missions to unlock more rank 4 parts. I'd do more now...but...since I got the game, I've been up 25 hours, slept 2 hours, and have been up 13 hours since then. Started playing at 6PM the day it came out, it's 3:45AM now and I have 25 hours on the game already. <.<

Forgive my long post. I'm tired so I ramble. :p

Oh, and one more thing...
about shooting down 100,000 mobile suits...

In Mission Mode alone, there are 40 characters. So at 5 missions each, after doing all 40 characters, if you average to 500 kills a mission, you'll get the achievement with no grinding at all, it'll just happen naturally. Just in case you'd like to note it, since grinding was involved for this achievement in the last game.

I'm going to get that achievement today. But I suspect it should be working properly. Check to see if you already have it, but didn't see it pop up, or restart your 360, go into the game, save. It'll pop up if it's in your save file.

I know this is a bit off topic, but something of the sort happened to me for Spidey: Web of Shadows. It never popped up, even after resaving it. I looked at my achievement screen however, and it gave me the achievement. Have you checked there yet?

Failure? Nah. I just have 70+ hours on the game already. It's all I've been doing, ugh. But can't...stop...

I've been playing 40 + myself, and all my friends play when I'm not around and I still only have like 275/1000 achievements.

I have literally nothing done, just messing around with skills and builds, like my friends char that can do full life damage to any enemy even on Hard. I've just been playing casual not going for anything particular at the moment.

Yes, Sarah is a pain if you let it get out of hand. However, I posted my method in the Unlockables thread. So far, that's the only one I've found so far that's difficult if you don't pay attention. Still looking though.

Sometimes achievements are like that. Just blame Bandai Namco or Microsoft for your problems. It always seems to work for me.

Master gundam and musha can both get dg cells go to the beginner drill surface level and just kill the boss over and over, the probability means the chance of it unlocking

Edit: Okay, so each skill clearly has an arbitrary value placed on it (presumably based on usefulness.) But the question remains, what raises it? MS use, or Pilot Level?


Edit2: Nevermind, it would appear to be based on pilot level. Some sort of function based loosely on dividing each tier's by half then +/- a static value placed there arbitrarily to make certain skills harder or easier to get.

I'm pretty sure that parts are given randomly depending on what you kill, like killing multiple DOMs would give you DOM armour etc... It just depends on what you encounter in the mission.

Do your collection missions and raise your tech skill. Collection missions will let you go to specific missions for specific parts.

Two quick pieces of information: The 'Zeon' storyline, which unlocks Girhen for both 'Friendship' and the Character Gallery, triggers with Char on ambiguous or higher. (May have to keep him up there for a mission or two before you get it, though.)

Second, the Ball and Tank missions have additional requirements beyond beating the 'Soldier' levels - for the Ball-mission, you also have to complete the 'Earth Federation' storyline (Requires Amuro Ray on Amiguous or higher to join) and for the Tank-mission, the 'Zeon' storyline, as mentioned above.

Same. The hardest one for me was Amuro's. Kai and Hayato refused to die for me. I ended up playing on Normal and clearing headed up (as opposed to right) into Boa Qu (however you spell it <.<) and gave White Base a place to land. They finally died in the 1st field before making it to the other ship that landed. My first attempt on easy, the battle lasted 40 minutes and they still never died. >_<

Is it possible to make it impossible for a character to achieve friendship status with everyone? I am afraid I may have screwed my favorite character (Milliardo) out of doing this and thus making it impossible for him to obtain all liscenses. Please tell me this is not the case.

I can't seem to get about 5 or so characters out of distrust which really sucks. For example, Kai and Hayato's friendship missions are unlocked but I can't play them because they are stuck in distrust. The same goes for Haman, making it so I can't play her liscense mission.

if their in distrust, theres a friendship specfic mission for those in distrust, just keep playing it over and over with them as your allies and they'll slowly go up

Actually i betrayed the Titans was Bask was at trust but i managed to get him up to friendship while trying to get the other characters up, I think having 'Charisma' equipped helped with that

I think in most circumstances you get the oppurtunity to get invited back into the faction at a later date. if not, just re-do the quiz over and over again and eventually that person will become friendly.

Yeh , SnowSakura told me about that , how he betrayed like every faction but later got reinvited, though i dont recommend doing that without knowing if you will get back in or not for sure

I recall that Gyunei's story mission told me to re attempt it when my friendship with Quess was higher but it did have it marked down as clear. But, I'd rather not go through the bother of raising her friendship to find out that that isn't the reason why I didn't get the achievement. At least not unless I know that's the problem.

No problem. Just so you know, these are all in order in the Gallery so if someone doesn't know the one in-between X and Z, it is definitely Y.

The Mission mode ones are all unlocked by the character next to them in story missions, but you may have to melee off against a certain enemy (it happened to me with Emma, I just stayed back and killed Quattro with my beam rifle and missed the scene)

Um, I know it's Judau. Just take him and play the last mission (1v1 fight with Haman) and get close , but just fire a single shot every now and again while backing off. You need to keep her talking until she's done with her speech. When she shuts up for good, finish her off. As a side note, you can NOT get the alternate endings the first time around. The game is fixed to fail the alt. conditions until you play the mission a second time. Try it with Char's, as I immediately got Yazaan to that tiny sliver of health in 10 seconds before the Raddish blew up. Tried it a second time and killed Yazaan in 30 seconds and saved the Raddish.

Okay where do I find Leina(she's the last character I'm missing) and unlock the ZZ Gundam faction missions?
