Welcome to the first Subscriber Tourney of 2009!

Since the subscribers help to pay the rather hefty bills of running this awesome site, every now and then the staff decide to reward them with even more benefits than they normally get. This is one of those times! We are hosting an Xbox Live Arcade Uno Tourney with multiple rounds, double elimination, and rules that change each game!

Exclusive badges (ooooo...shiny!) can be had, including something special for first place, but come mostly for the fun and opportunity to chat with your fellow elite members of the site! Cameras are optional but encouraged!

The tourney will start on Sunday, 15-Feb at 0900 PT / 1200 ET / 1700 GMT.

This thread will show the schedule and results of each round, including the final winner.

[Creech]

Rules that apply to all rounds:
a) This is a double elimination tournament. All rounds will use Game Mode - Single, Scoring - Traditional, Forced Play - On, Bluffing - On, Call Uno - On.
b) If someone is unable to join for any reason, they take a loss for that round.
c) The two highest scores get wins each round.
d) If there is a tie for second place, everyone tied for second will get a win for that round.
e) Results for each round need to be sent via XBL to the gamertag: X360Asubscriber.
f) Subsequent rounds will be initiated when you receive a message from X360Asubscriber.
g) This thread will be updated between each round by Creech with groups and results. Players are expected to look here to determine their group members.
h) All participants are on the X360Asubscriber Friends List, which is visible. This is to make creating private Uno sessions easier without having to add group members to your FL. Use the view friends feature after selecting the X360Asubscriber's gamertag.
i) The first player in each group is responsible for hosting the game and sending invites to the others. In case of difficulties, try to work it out amongst yourselves.
j) Any group that does not have four players will need to use AI players to complete the group. AI player results are ignored for determining placement (so you can't place behind the AI, even if they actually win the game).
k) Creech's rulings are final in the event of any disputes.

Shame that I live in Australia, and I think I was the only Australian that participated in the tourney. Maybe think about doing it 4 hours later than yesterdays time. I didn't like being up till 5am. :(

Lucky I didn't make it till the end. 5 and a half hours. And I had to be up at 9:30am for work :p


So apart from 1st, 2nd and 3rd awards, will subscribers also be getting anything for participation?
