Okay there is something really pissing me off and i really need help!
whenever i try and create an EA account it keeps on saying that im not old enough to use online features. yesterday i spent 4 hours trying to get this to work and nothing has..
i have tried the following: created a new hotmail put my age as 18 and made an ea account on that, changed my email address linked with my username to a username with a higher age than 18, tried making accounts on the ea nation website. i also tried punchig my tv..that one didnt work either.

none of these actully worked so if you know any way to help at all please let me know.

its the law? dude are you saying that every over game out there that i play online is illegal..besides its not really fair since i have paid for xbox live i should be able to use everything it has to offer, that didnt answer the question anyway. does anyone know how i can access skate 2 online?

Unlucky......

If you're not old enough to enter into a legal agreement with EA, (contract age) then in their eyes you're not old enough to play it online.

Guess there are too many people swearing online nowadays heheh.

Edit: Set up a new Gamertag

Actually it's not against the law. If you've read the Terms and Conditions that EA present, you need to be 13 and older to play online. So it's not that game that is causing the problem it's Xbox Live. You might need to check with your Xbox Account preferences, but since your 15, not sure how Microsoft will help you.

just beacuse you changed ur gamertags email doesnt matter, its the email you signed up with they take into account

and it might not be the law but just there policy, because if there forwarding our emails off to 3rd party companys god knows what we might recieve, and then ea would be held liable lol

yeah ive read that too... u have to be 13 to play Xbox LIVE... (obviously people dont give a shit about that cuz ive heard kids that are 8 or 9 that play GTA IV online) so if ur 13 u can play on live but that doesnt apply to every game... just like when u go buy a mature game... i just wish that when u play a mature game, it should check how old u r from ur gamertag account and see if ur truely old enough cuz i do hate imature little kids that just scream and make irratating noises and think its funny... =/

Ok so this may work for you:

1st - Sign out of your account on your Xbox and turn off your system.

2nd - Do something else for 3 years.

3rd - Turn on Xbox and sign in to your account. Everything should work now.

:woop:

Sorry but I had too.

Seriously though, I hope you find a fix.

well okay guys, i have just sent a email to ea customer support because every single thing you guys came up with (besides OGsmokeTICAL) to fix it didnt work. it is obviously
just a bug, knowing there is no traces on my xbox of me being under 13..besides ea is notorious for this sorta thing.

Sounds like parental controls to me. That or they logged your ip the first time you signed up and now your screwed. Good luck with dealing with the tool academy, EA Games.

Wooo, they were just trying to help you out. Are there any needs to be that rude? Chill out man, I'm not sure what the system is in Australia, but we don't treat people who's trying to help like this here in the US.

Have you tried punching your 360? Since punching your TV didn't help?
Lemme know man, coz I'd usually punch my friend instead.

Reply to Murkage: Hey your friend didnt actully have to start a new account, you just need to re download the game, but i dont wanna do that yet since i havnt got all the single player acheivements yet. and if that doest work contact custormer suport, they will allways have a decent suloution.

Seeing as you tried signing up for an EA Account with an 18+ email, that means it's probably your gamertag that's keeping you offline. And someone mentioned why changing the email on your gamertag won't work:

just beacuse you changed ur gamertags email doesnt matter, its the email you signed up with they take into account

When you create your gamertag, it will get your age from your Windows Live ID (either your existing one or when you create one). If you have your real age on there, it's likely to be flagged as a minor account until the account thinks your 18. Either try logging on with a different live account to get online, hit the guide, log out, then log in as your main profile (don't know if it will dump you back to the title screen or even work at all) or create/use a gamertag that's over 18.

Are YOU some kind of dumb shit? In this first post of yours it sounded like you never put your age to 18 or whatever the first time you made an account....so yeah, don't bitch at me you little twat kid . Some people....

You get a minor account 'till you're 16, i should know.

Can't you just change your family settings on the xbox thats what I did when I couldn't play online. May have just been lucky.

lol what makes you think i have shut my mouth to all the idiots out there that post pointless comments? if they do post somthing that ethier makes no sense or they dont even read previous posts and think im a "dumb shit" they should expect a not so friendly reply,

there were no familly settings on my xbox 360, i said this before in a previous post: although i dont blame you for bring that up..knowing how many posts you would have to read to find it.
