Is it just me, or is this one of the most irritating challenges in a game.. EVER!!

you virtually have no chance, wot with you having to push off 3 times which leaves little time to prepare for the trick, yet the A.I. characters only have to push off twice. Atleast the first Skate. gave us more of a chance. :mad:

I haven't played the full retail verison yet (just picked it up about an hour ago while on lunch break at work), but I would suggest to maybe try like in the first skate and add a spin to the trick. I kno for a fact in the first skate that if you did like a kickflip w/ a 540 spin, the AI never replicated it. Hopefully that will work. I will be trying it tonight when I get home to confirm.

The first one was too easy. You would in every time no matter what if you did an extra rotation with the right stick. Hopefully it does give a decent challenge like you are describing. I'm sure there will be some tips in the coming days/weeks. Just practice until then and you'll beat those bitches.

and yeah i can confirm that the 540's do work, IF you ever get to set the trick.

unlike the first Skate. ur up against 2 pro's now, so if/when the first pro bails or repeats, it moves onto the next pro to set the trick. So u can be waitin' ages for it to get to you.

Just to add, triple kick/heelflips work ok. Now and then they will land it, but most the time they just end up doin' a double.

It is ridiculously hard! You can't just let him bail n then set a trick cos like people say there are two pros now. So I don't see how you can win, You can match there tricks all you want but the chances of both of them bailing so you can set a trick for them to get a letter is very unlikely.

takes a bit of skill & a lot of practice but you can match their tricks. its supposed to be a challenge!

Indeed. I've tried this for 3 hrs in one day. I saw Koston bail once. The only way to do it is get lucky and be able to set the tricks and attempt 540s. Still most of the time you won't be able to pump enough and fall on top of the fence.

Considering this is smack dab right at the start of the game, it was badly thought out.

I finally done this, and to do it urself ur gonna need alot of patience.

I played it out tactically (Once it finally came to me to set the trick).

Always keep an eye on the "already done" list so as not to repeat. Bust out really easy tricks such as Ollie, Nollie, Ollie 180, Nollie 180, Kickflip etc. the basic stuff. (never do a basic ollie 360 incase u dont make the full rotation on ur 540) then try bust out a Triple heel/kickflip, then go for the Ollie 540. Then once again go to basic tricks (add pop shuvits aswell) so that it takes the trip kick/heel and 540 out of the list so u can do them again. Rinse and repeat.

This way you have more chance of avoiding bails and repeat tricks.

540's are far from luck if you do them from a kicker. Just press both sticks in the same direction (left or right).

I think there talking about a glitch that allows you to spin on the spot. My point still stands though you never get to set the trick so how can you win?

Ffs seriously. I am number one. Why should i go last? Im 1st but hey, let's go 2-3-1. And how come they could make spins without trouble with two pushes when I hardly can do it with three. And why can they nail the most insane tricks time after time. I can keep up with about 10 tricks. Then I get an S. 10 more. I get an K. 2 more then he finally bails or repeat. Then it's the other fuckers turn. 10 tricks. A, 10 more T. And ofcourse doesn't he wanna be worse than the first guy so 10 more and I get an E. I'm out before I even have a chance.

Just one question. Is that really how you play a game of s.k.a.t.e in the states? One can keep going as long as he nails it? If it is. Then I blame you for this being impossible.

Here number 1 goes first. If he doesn't nail a trick it's number 2's turn. If he nails a trick, the other shall repeat or get an letter and still it's number 2's turn.


Edit: And wtf is up with how you're lined when you start. If i forget to turn a little I start grinding the sides and definitely won't get over the rail.

Yeah if need be, find a similar bench in the game and practice ur 540's and trip kicks off it.

I've just done the other S.K.A.T.E challenge (located in Bonus on the challenge map) and it was only against one dude, and it woz much easier.

After i done this i unlocked the last of the Pro's numbers, who i can now call up and challenge to a game of S.K.A.T.E individually, aswell as choose the location (from a set list ofcourse).

The 'Girl' challenge seems to be the only stupidly difficult one and also the only one against 2 pro's.

Calling all the pro's and beating them should get you the achievement 'Anyone Else?'

also i just waited until i got a chance to set the trick then i just did a 540 once then did normal tricks, usually everyone would be S.K.A by then, then just do another 540 x2

now i have no reason to hunt koston and carroll down!!!

I've done the girl skate challenge, and am now on the individual ones. You have to play against Koston and Carroll again (individually) and it is still really hard.

passed the challenge but it took nearly 1.30hrs just kept doing triple heels, and 540 360 shuvits.

Well with the last patch you now get to set the trick, that in all makes it a lot easier. But when I bought it when it came out it was hard, cause you had to wait for the pros to go and wait forever for them to bail. But whatever I go it done, just did 540s, triple kicks and heels variations.
