Reilly's Rangers, can I still get the achievement?

Ok so on my way to the Museum of Technology I came across the hotel and rescued Reilly's Rangers. I never got the quest from her though. I am headed for the Ranger HQ but before I get too far I was wondering if I will still get this achievement when I get there even though I was never offered the quest in the first place. Did anyone do this or know if the achievement will still unlock when I get there?

I think it will, just save it before you get there, and if it doesnt, reload and go the other way

I did the same thing and found the rangers at the hotel first. I've not completed the quest yet but when I do I will post here with results.

From reading other threads I think the achievement will pop so long as you complete all the required quest objectives. So I would check out the guide and make sure you do everything needed from start to finish regardless of what you have already done.

This is what I plan to do later tonight, so as I said above, I will post when I know if it worked.

Hopefully it will, don't want to have to go through the whole hospital/Hotel thing again!

Ok I did it!

You don't need to get the quest from Reilly. If you get it at the hotel, just go to the Ranger Compound (one of them gives you the location) as soon as you get the Rangers off the roof.

Reilly will be there and act as she would if you had met her and got the quest in Underworld. As soon as you talk to her about the hotel the achievement will pop!

You don't need to talk to her it seems, but I am guessing you also were unable to open the ammo container in the stairwell of the hotel...

Got all the ammo containers I think, searched the place from top to bottom before I even went near the roof. Might go back and check though just in case I missed something.

how do you get to the rangers compound?
i got the location and on the way out all rangers got killed, but i think i ll get the GP if i get to the compound...problem is, how the hell do you get there?
do you need to go via one of the subways??

Anacostia Crossing, it is just north of Rivet City. Just go directly across the platform. You should pop out nearby the compound. Use your compass to figure out what direction to go.
