I am wondering if anyone has found some sort of strategy that the AI just doesn't understand how to adapt to. Something that will get them to send loads of units to their doom. A way to set up your units that always works. I need to know some way to overcome World War III on hardcore. I have made it 3 battles in so far (with a save after wins so that I can re-load if I lose) and I can't seem to get any farther. So I was just wondering, has anyone found a way to beat the AI on Hardcore with some sort of trick?

-I found the AI was easier when i had air strikes (to hit those pesky retreating gunships)
-Never let your transports chase your gunships
-Don't capture more then half the control points, (Computer using WMD ....shiver)
-Don't let the computer have artillery, or air strike/emp/force recon
-Go after only land, and only Assault and conquest. (raid and siege sucks)
-For some reason, the computer became easier when i had 1 of each unit on the field, (Rifleman, Engineer, Tank, Transport, Artillery, Commander, Gunship)
-try to not use the full 12 slots (keep like 2 slots open in case a unit dies you can summon another instantly instead of waiting till it evac's, also when and if you get WMD'ed you have 2 units less that can be hit by it.)

Good tips, I remember the entire transports chasing down gunships thing killed off 2 of my transports when the enemy's gunships retreated. Raids are horrible most of the time on Hardcore, a very small reserve count coupled with the AI telepathically guessing unit types always ends up with me losing the battle.

They ALWAYS start out with a gunship and a rifleman/engineer
also i did a few 2 on 2 with hardcore on a raid...my ally AI had 2 level 4 units[one star], the rest was level 1/2/3.

This is my strategy I used on my bro's EndWar version on his PS3.
Command and Conquest!
Only play Conquest and do your best to defend 3 uplinks (excl. WMD's & Crashed uplinks). Also use the battle triangle to your advantage.
Secondairy Attack, go!
I also strongly advice to upgrade your secondairy attacks (Air Strike Lv. 1 & Force Recon Lv. 2) when you get the chance. From there, upgrade each secondairy attack by one, as they are expensive.
A Force Recon Lv2. can keep enemy units temp. at bay, while you cripple them with the battle triangle.
From A to Z, G
Also upgrade your Transports & Engineers as your primairy unit.
Speedy transports can get your infantry units easy from A to Z. While speedy Engineers can provide secondairy support and infantry/drones defence.
Garrison your infantry! They are practically AI-target practice if they are out in the open.
Spread out your units!
Do NOT bring out more troops then needed! If they get AS (Airstriked), EW (Electronic Warfaired) or in worse cases ,WMD-ed, you'll be sure to lose units like water in a broken glass.
Don't chuck all the units near an uplink, but spread them out (ex. garrison Engineers in a building, tanks furher down the road & Transports at the uplink.
Extract!
Most of the times your platoon will "bleed". Don't be shy to evac them out the battlefield. You'll receive command points this way and ability to put fresh units back on the battlefield.
Be sure to have a replacement ready BEFORE you extract the "bleeding" unit. You don't want to have a Gunship swarm near your tanks, while your Transports evac, right?
I hope this will provide help to those troubled.
