help? 'millipede level'

i tihnk my game is glitched or soemthin, cuz as soon as i get down into the cave to help the guys through the gate, as they are getting attacked i only have a max of 5 secs to get all the way from the bridge to the cave, before the millipedes kill them.
i have to take this back tommrow, so i was forced to just take the cheap way out and do the level select cheat and do all of the achievement levels, but if someone can help me with this that would be greatly appreciated, then i would rent this agian..

Ha ha! Cheating on Kong!! LMFAO. Cheats or no cheats, the game only takes 5 hours! I've heard of glitches on this game when cheats are used, so that could be it.

Off topic kinda - I thought you couldn't activate achievements using any cheats on this game.

no you can use the level select cheats for indivual achievements, just not for the'complete game' one...
but i didnt put that cheat in until after i tried this damned part for a half hour.

I actually remember that I had a glitch on this level when one of the NPC's got stuck in the scenary. You might have to start the level again.

No no no, I had this problem. Once you've got the sniper. Look down and you'll see Jimmy and Hayes at the door. Wait for them to get attacked and save them from where you're stood. The continue down.

i had a problem like this after you drop down from that big drop and your team is at that door.. you need some fire to burn the thorns and there was no fire at all. there was a couple fire pits but no fire i had to start it all over again!! the game does glitch alot!:(

I'm stuck at exactly the same. So did you play the whole game over again? You can't just start a level from the beginning isn't it? Are there other ways to help this out? I don't like to start over again.

I just borrowed this game today to get the quick 1000. It was smooth sailing up until this point. I'm having the same issue here where nearly as soon as I get to the cave, Hayes dies.

I can't wait for them to get attacked because 1) they're already being attacked when I get there and 2) I don't even see Hayes and Carl at all, not near the door, not anywhere in the cave.

I shoot the first millipedes I see down there near the door, but Hayes still dies. It would help if I could actually see where they are. I've been reading that this game has a ton of glitches. I haven't encountered any just yet so I was wondering if this might be one of them, Hayes and Carl not being visible? Can someone tell me where, exactly, they're supposed to be standing down in there?

I also tried replaying the level before it (canyon) to see if it would let me start the millipede level over or clear the glitch out, but it didn't. I beat the canyon level again and it just took me back to the menu to load the millipede level from that glitchy save spot. I don't know what else to do but I'll be really pissed if I can't beat such an easy game because something fucked up.

oh nevermind. i figured that my game probably wasn't glitched so I should look around and see if I WASN'T supposed to go that way at all and sure enough, I saw where Hayes and Carl were. Well that takes care of that lol

i think every version of this game is glitched lol!
i got the glitch where jimmy won't get on the plane, i was just wandering around and i stood on a dead dinosaurs head infront of the plane taking major damage and he got on the plane... i kno WTH?
