119 wins whilst you sleep!

Looks like my trick from Carbon is back :), here's how to do it -

Join a ranked game, then go to sleep because when the race finishes it will have a countdown timer and after it expires the next race will start automatically after a while and when someone finishes it will count down again and send you back to lobby.

If you do this in cops and robbers i think it could unlock 25 wins if your team wins!

119 races really doesn't take that long to do, especially in Cops and Robbers.

2 bad this wouldnt work for me, i seem 2 lose connection to the ea server like every 3 races or so. real pain in the ass seeing as i only need 119 races, 25wins and 100% career now.

^^^ The stats are glitched, mine said i had 200 wins after winning 3 /3 races but the achieve unlocks when you actually get to 119 wins/25 wins.

According to stats at mynfs i have 140 ranked online matches, and 60 % Disconnection. Actually only 2-3 disconnection from es nation after the race.
no achievement, so i guess match doesnt count towards the achievement if there is no input during the match.

have you registered on needforspeed.com, because when you do and login, you can see your results for "online races", it will give more accurate respresentation of your results.

This wont work.

The server times out all the time, at least every 3 - 5 races or events, all night would be impossible right now, and even then, rumours are that the race needs to be completed, as in the finish line.

119 Races (911 backwards lol) wouldnt take long anyways, you can do it easy in 2 - 3 days

I just got the 119 races achievement, I just put it on cops and robbers for several nights and let it run - unless you get knocked out of server, you will always finish race and move on to next one - one night I got about 60 races in, but mostly about 30 races and would wake up to find myself disconnected from EA server - weird thing is, it took me 146 online races to get the achievement (look on needforspeed.com to get accurate numbers)

no, the 119 multiplayer finishes can be in any type of match - honestly, I don't know how to distinguish between a player match and ranked match, I always went the "quick match" route, and played cops and robbers the majority of the time...

The wins count career as well. Click the 'online' tab.

yeah, if you want an accurate representation of where you stand with online races, go to needforspeed.com and click on the online tab - looking at your stats strictly through the game isn't correct in that adds career wins into ranked race wins...

I don't think private matches show up, meaning I don't think they get counted towards your stats on needforspeed.com .

i am pissed, i have completed about 121 races right now, and no achievement. i have done half while playing, and half just letting the game run. what is wrong. could it be that right now Xbox LIVE is having some issues so the achievement isnt popping up? or it because when you come in a DNF in a Race Mode it doesnt count?

Yeah, it took me 145 races to get it... But I think it is bc DNFs don't count towards it..

ya everywhere i've gone has said DNF don't count. so dont bother trying to sit idle during a race, it won't work. You can do it in cops and robbers but its a huge pain in the ass to your team who are probably trying for 25wins (know from experience...)

I actually had a cops and robber game where the entire opposite team was sitting idle.
That was one boring game.

On the other hand I prefer when there are no other player in my team. I usually get around 600-900 points on my own in cops and robbers :)

It says FINISH on the achievement and if you just sit there when its over it says DNF meaning DID NOT FINISH. Doesnt count toward achievement.

it does work, I got all my wins that way - however, you run the risk of getting disconnected from server - but each night I averaged about 30 wins, so it may take you several nights to get it....

Now I'm not Albert Einstein, but I believe it's main purpose is to help people obtain achievements the fastest and easiest way possible. If you don't like it, tough shit. Go gripe to EA for making a dumb ass achievement. Besides, the online play sucks anyways.

And just cause we played it, doesnt mean we bought it. Some of us rented it and simply want to knock it out asap. But even if we did buy it, that entitles us to play it how we see fit. When you start buying my games for me, you can tell me how to play them. Till then, you should shut your trap and go play your games however you like.

Oddly enough, I found that if I played, I got kicked. If I slept I stayed connected. I did the 119 in a less than 24 hour period. I slept from 3am to 12pm the next day, and was still connected with a guy I connected with when I went to sleep at 3.

I had 68 ranked wins but I never even went online yet

Unfortunately because of this trick, I've seen about three "_____ x360a" members doing this glitch online.

I think its a big let down when you have people from a website seen at such a high standard as this, to see people just sitting there, not doing a single thing.

I might consider doing this for the 119 races, not the wins, as that's ridiculous and is just completely unfair to my teammates.

Well, I know quite a few people who enjoy playing NFS Undercover. Just because you don't enjoy it doesn't mean other can't. And because not everyone gets a game at the exact same time, legit players 'getting their game back to themselves' doesn't really happen.

I find the game to be decent and fun. Its about time too, the NFS series has been falling for the last few years and this is finally an improvement.

It isn't really a trick - you are joining a race lobby, the only difference is you don't do anything once you get into the race.

Not sure what the disconnection problem is, or if it is linked to inactivity. I have been racing cops and robbers - doing the races, not just sitting there - and it has been very stable at keeping me in. I've managed 30+ races in a row without losing connection, and then quit because I'd had enough.

This tactic really is annoying for the rest of the people in the game that do want to play. The teams can already be imbalanced with an odd number of players, so the first team usually gets an extra handicap of having someone not playing.

Yeah this trick is really annoying. When I got this achievements a few months ago, I had some cops and crooks races with only me actively playing while the other 7 players just stood there or drove in walls.

Exactly, yesterday I was in a 'team' with three cars that were dead in the water. A game is so much fun when you play alone against four others, especially if they are so sportive to keep bringing in the money over and over, obviously very happy with themselves... :rolleyes:

I can verify on 09-09-09 that this not only works for the Notorious achivement for finish 119 multiplayer races, it also worked for Among the best, win 25 ranked multiplayer events. Thats 75 achievment points I never expected to get.

i jus wanted to say that if u do the math it takes waaayy to long... each game is 6mins. u need 119 so that puts it at around 12 hours of game time... that doesnt count lobby time...

Does it matter if everyone in your race disconnects leaving you to finish the race yourself, does it still count towards the achievo?

yes i got maybe 20 games that way. but you have to check back regularly to make sure u didnt get disconnected from the ea server. It worked for a while but in the end i kept getting disconnected from the server. I got mine teaming up with a guy and doing sprints and circuits. takes 3 mins max per race. some races only a 1.5 min.

The TC's strat has been working for me today, but inversely; I've happened upon the same 2 guys using it and I usually end up on the other team, so in the end it's me and another vs 2 AFK's = easy wins. It does take away from the thrill of outrunning actual players but on the road to 119 races, every little bit helps :uzi:

Yeah you should of known that you have to actually finish 119 races. It even says it in the achievement description. Just play cops n robbers so you will always place either first or second.
