RANK 10 seems impossiable

Forget Hangmans Noose, after beating the time I never played it again due to the amount of saboteurs, play Bomb Da Base II instead. You still get saboteurs but, significantly less than in Hangmans Noose and less than in Deal Breaker too. It does take longer to complete, average is about 6-8 minutes but, you can easily average 7-8k per playthrough, once you're familiar with it. I think it's also alot more enjoyable to play as a mission and you also get $100 for each kill. The only thing that can go wrong is the armoured truck get's blown up but, after the helicopter appears, only more than half the team losing all their lives will fail the mission. Even if someone blows up the helicopter, it doesn't take long to drive to the ship. Also, if you do lose all your lives, as long as the mission is a success, you still get the bonus money for completing the mission.

It's the first game I ever played where I felt any incentive to pursue an online achievement but, I wouldn't have bothered if I wasn't enjoying so much!

To tell you the truth, the grinding for the money was by far not as annoying as winning all those god damn races was.

Though winning every race only took me abou 1 1/2 weeks.

I doubt I will ever get those achievements where you have to get level 10 and you have to win each race. They just seem too hard, especially when on a bad connection to the host and cars hit into me but then teleport perfectly around the track as if it never happened.

If you're referring to the online, I agree completely. As for the main game, GTA4 rocks.

If you ask me, try and aim for other multiplayer achievements before finishing up this one, that way you'll either:

1) Hit it by that point

2) Be well into getting it.

i was thinking of trying to do this but quickly gave up. Multiplayer on GTA is more fun just in free mode messing around with friends than anything else.

I deffinately agree with this. I got bored of it after a while and decided to get to rank 4 which took me 2 days of playing Bomb da base 2. But after that I just decided to play with mates on free mode instead because well, it's much more fun in my opinion.

one of the most painful achievements i ever had to get .luckily i got mine now i have no hair cause i pulled it all out.but serious why do people piss around on hangmans noose or any other ranked mode .piss off and play free mode if you wanna dick around

I generally stuck with Race and GTA Race to begin with, until around rank 6-7 and then played co-op more. But, after beating the times, I mainly stuck with Bomb Da Base because, the mission is more interesting and the vast majority of people I met weren't there to fail the mission! It may not have been the quickest way to rank 10 but, I enjoyed getting there!

Talk about a trip, Wanted is the most time consuming achievement that I really had no fun getting, I mean I spent about 1 week 3 days for 12 hour shifts to get the thing, constant hangmans noose.

No matter how bad it may seem its the best way bro, the cut-scene is the shortest and no loading screen after it. The race achievements were a lot better and I'll tell you why, they were challenging and kept my brain occupied, not to mention my mad skills at minipulating people, that AUF WIED only took me 3 days no lie.

Im like half way there sometimes i play it for a day but rank 10 is still far away i always liked gta but i miss the old school style like San Andreas... creating ur on character and co-up missons like SR2 still its fun to run around liberty city :D

It will feel like a mile away because if you just reached rank 8, which requires 1.5 million dollars to get to, you are still 3.5 million away from 10. Rank 9 is literally the half way point to rank 10. It takes perseverance to finish this achievement, I had to play just Hangman's NOOSE about 2 hours a day, for about 2-3 months to finally unlock "Wanted."
